First release of Dialect, a minimal Android home-screen launcher whose entire UI is a T9 phone dialpad — type digits to progressively filter and rank installed apps by name, press Enter to launch the top match.

Highlights

  • T9 matching engine (full-name-prefix and optional word-initial modes), ranked by match type, usage frequency, and recency
  • Live app index via LauncherApps, including work-profile and multi-launcher-activity apps
  • Full TalkBack support: phone-dialer-style key labels, a dynamic Enter label that names its target, debounced non-disruptive live-region announcements, and a discoverable Backspace long-press "clear all" action
  • HOME-role integration (buffer resets on Home re-entry, no-op Back button) with a crash-safety fallback screen
  • Settings for word-initial matching and the empty-buffer recent-apps list
