Changes

  • The Column wrap and Column wrap back sounds of a sound theme play whenever a swipe moves to an item on another row: forward to an item below, back to an item above. Each item of a list is a row of its own, and items side by side, such as home screen icons or a title with buttons beside it, share a row.
  • Reading notifications no longer has Speech rate, Pitch and Volume. Notifications read with a voice profile use the profile's rate, pitch and volume, and those read with SandFly's voice use SandFly's speech settings.
  • Incoming calls are listed in the notification history as Announced as a call.

Fixes

  • While the phone was locked, notifications from many apps, such as Ring, were not read and not listed in the history, because Android gives screen readers only a notification's public version then, which most apps don't have. With notification access, SandFly now reads the whole notification from its notification listener while the phone is locked.
  • Notifications that Android doesn't announce to screen readers, such as those Do Not Disturb holds back or updates posted without alerting again, are read from the notification listener, as the notification settings say. This needs notification access.
