Terminalis 3.5.1
Terminalis 3.5.1
Changes from 3.3.3:
Added
- Command Assistant. Press Cmd+I or choose Action → Generate command… in an idle terminal to turn a description into an editable shell command. Review the result and press Enter separately to run it. Requests and drafts stay with their terminal when switching tabs; results generated for a changed terminal remain available to copy, regenerate, or dismiss.
- ChatGPT connections. Connect through browser sign-in in Settings → AI, choose an available model, and set a default connection. The app includes its AI helper, so no separate Node.js or Codex installation is required. Generation sends your request, shell, operating system, and current folder; it does not automatically include terminal output, history, environment values, or file contents.
- Command-line launching. Launch commands from scripts or another terminal with
terminalis --command, plus working-directory, tag, name, and environment options. Each request creates a persistent terminal and returns after command delivery, without waiting for completion. Explicit environment overrides apply only to that invocation, and the command does not automatically rerun when Terminalis next opens.
Changed
- Organized AI settings. MCP terminal access now lives in Settings → AI, above Generate commands. Setup guidance and disabled-access messages point to the new location.
- Consistent command input. The Generate command field now matches the tab title's font and size, with regular-weight text.
Fixed
- Interactive saved commands. Multiline scripts can wait for
readand foreground-program input without consuming their remaining script lines. Ordinary zsh and Fish commands use the same paste-and-submit behavior for single-line and multiline scripts. - Command status and cancellation. Running state tracks the full saved script, including input waits. Stopping a saved command cancels the invocation rather than continuing into later statements, including when Fish is waiting for input.
- Readable history replay. History preserves the authored script and recovers older encoded entries. Replaying zsh commands retains the required working-directory setup across shell reinitialization.
- Sidebar counter alignment. Corrected the vertical alignment of the sidebar status counters.
