• Fix a Linux and macOS issue where opening AI chat history or analysis memory could release SQLite locks held by other connections in the same IDA process. With several IDA instances sharing chat.db or analysis-memory.db, this could lose history writes or corrupt the database.

• Storage files are now validated without opening them. Symlinks, hard links, files owned by another user and files readable by others are still rejected. Windows is unchanged.

• Build Linux and macOS Qt link inputs from checksum-pinned official Qt 6.8.2 sources. Builds and releases now run entirely in the public repository without private downloads or cross-repository tokens; complete AI functionality is retained and Qt runtimes are not bundled.

• Retry transient macOS DMG creation failures caused by Resource busy, with a bounded retry count.

Upgrade: Close every IDA and IDAT instance, then install the matching plugin and Gateway from the same release package. Settings, chat history and analysis memory are kept. The stable AI UI still requires IDA Professional 9.4 / Qt 6.8.2.

• Add a Linux .deb package for Ubuntu 24.04+ / Debian 13+ amd64, alongside the portable tar.gz. APT installs system dependencies and exposes /usr/bin/ida-mcp, idat-with-agent, and ida-agent-setup.
• Add IDA Agent to the application menu with the shared product icon and matching window icon. The setup window supports English and Chinese, an IDA user-directory selector, Install plugin, Remove plugin, and Open manager.
• Install the plugin for the current user through a managed link. Existing manual plugins require explicit replacement and receive a backup. Package upgrades keep the link working; removal preserves provider settings and chat history. The manager launcher reuses its running instance and supports ida-agent-setup --stop-manager.
• Add Ctrl+Shift+A to open AI Chat and focus its input. Repeating it preserves the current conversation and draft. Customize Open AI Chat (ida-agent:ai:open) in IDA's shortcut settings.
• Validate Linux package installation, GUI launch, manager reuse, upgrade, plugin removal, and package purge on Ubuntu 24.04 and Debian 13 in the release workflow before publication. Windows and macOS installers remain available.

Upgrade: Close IDA and IDAT before installing the matching plugin and Gateway. On supported Linux systems, run sudo apt install ./ida-agent-0.5.0-linux-x64.deb, then open IDA Agent as your normal user and click Install plugin. This release includes the AI Chat and project-instruction changes prepared for 0.4.9, plus fixes for two macOS test fixtures that blocked its release:

• Detect filename case sensitivity from the test directory so AGENTS.md, Agents.md, and agents.md priority checks work on both APFS formats, Windows and Linux.
• Resolve the temporary directory used by the background chat-history test before opening SQLite, preserving the production storage path and permission checks.

• Add the per-model Effort selector and persist the selected reasoning strength. Add external per-binary analysis memory and evidence-based protection, function, and type-recovery workflows through /memory and /workflow; memory mutations retain the current conversation approval policy.
• Share compact response and evidence rules across ordinary and tool-enabled chat. Reserve complete workflow steps and project-file metadata within the 8 KiB system budget before adding complete memory records. Recover from unknown or unloaded tools without running their operations; later discovered writes still require the applicable approval.
• Read AGENTS.md, Agents.md, or agents.md once from the current IDB directory and cache the result, including a missing file. Reuse it across requests, conversations and compaction. /instructions shows status; /instructions reload, switching projects, or reopening the database reads changes. Complete UTF-8 files up to 32 KiB are retained as required model context; larger files use bounded file-tool reads. Current user instructions and operation permissions retain priority.
• Isolate Gateway client sessions and bound plugin streaming queues. Keep the 23-tool underscore-named MCP catalog and existing RPC contracts compatible with 0.4.8.

Upgrade: Close IDA, install the complete 0.4.10 package for your platform, then restart IDA and reconnect MCP clients. Existing provider settings and external chat history remain available. Stable AI UI support remains IDA Professional 9.4 / Qt 6.8.2; the Windows IDA 9.5 experimental path still requires strict ABI preflight and live acceptance.

• AI Chat 默认停靠为全高右侧栏，加入 Agent 样式的角色分层与 Emoji、适中的消息间距、Markdown、代码块语法高亮及消息/代码复制。流式输出和长会话渲染使用性能预算，外部历史保留原文，历史写入移到 UI 线程之外。

• Make OpenCode 2 the configuration manager's default OpenCode target. Label configuration actions Install MCP / Update MCP and document Scoop's versions/opencode2 and npm's @opencode/cli@2; the launch command remains opencode.
• Write the native mcp.servers.ida-mcp format with disabled: false, codemode: false, protocol: "legacy", and separate catalog/execution timeouts. Migrate only the old IDA entry while preserving other servers, settings, and JSONC comments. Removing IDA configuration clears both formats.
• Validate native enablement and timeout fields, and use supported global opencode.jsonc / opencode.json files instead of the obsolete config.json fallback.

• Add automatic stable-release checks to the Qt plugin and local Web manager. Check the public ackwrap/ida-pro-agent releases at most once every 24 hours; compare numeric versions and ignore drafts and prereleases.
• Add Check for Updates... and Software Updates controls in IDA, plus the same controls in the Web manager: check manually, disable automatic checks, and open the matching release page. Manual checks have a one-minute cooldown. Download and installation remain manual.
• Share the automatic-check preference and release cache between both interfaces, outside the IDB and provider settings. Offline and rate-limit failures preserve previous release information. Requests contain the application version without database contents, chat history, or provider credentials; headless plugins and stdio/HTTP MCP processes do not run checks.
• Stabilize Linux/macOS streaming queue tests by observing the terminal event before draining the queue, preserving the byte and event limits without depending on a fixed startup delay.
• Keep the 23-tool MCP catalog and existing RPC contracts compatible with 0.4.6. The plugin's displayed version now comes from the same version file as the Gateway.

Upgrade: Close IDA, install the complete 0.4.7 package, then restart IDA and reconnect MCP clients. Existing providers and external chat history are retained. Set Software Updates → Check for stable releases automatically (once a day) off to disable background checks.

• Fix Windows streamed chat failures that could surface as WinHttpQueryDataAvailable / ERROR_WINHTTP_INCORRECT_HANDLE_STATE (12019). Asynchronous waits keep requests alive across delayed headers and SSE frames, preserve incremental UTF-8 delivery, and honor cancellation, idle and overall deadlines.
• Save Windows external chat history even when a database's .i64 has not yet been packed. The database history key stays consistent after packing; chat history remains outside the IDB.
• Merge PR #1: add pinned official Python MCP SDK regressions over stdio/HTTP, simulated RPC peers, wire-based evidence checks, and reproducible entry points for installed Codex, Claude Code and OpenCode clients. CI runs the SDK fixtures on Windows, Linux and macOS, including real Unix IPC on Linux/macOS. Add a queue wait-expiry test that verifies no admission slot leaks.
• Publish project-owned source under MIT in ackwrap/ida-pro-agent, with automatic source/documentation synchronization from the development repository. Third-party dependencies retain their own licenses.
• Keep the 23 underscore-named MCP tools and existing typed RPC contracts compatible with 0.4.5. The regression fixture executable is test-only and is excluded from release packages.

Upgrade: Close IDA, install the complete package, then restart IDA and reconnect MCP clients. SDK and simulated-backend results do not establish actual Agent/model compatibility or licensed IDA behavior; those require separately recorded runs.

• Simplify public input schemas and return correctable tool errors with field issues and recovery hints. JSON text and structured results match.
• Allow direct reads to use the selected or sole available instance; require an explicit choice when several databases are available.
• Add bounded per-instance FIFO waiting: 2 active requests, up to 8 waiting requests, and at most 5 seconds of queue waiting. Retry only explicitly retryable read-only IDA_BUSY, up to twice under one overall deadline.
• Keep writes, scripts and debugger control single-execution. Side-effecting timeouts report an unknown outcome and advise checking IDA state before resubmission.
• Add optional -diagnostics stderr metadata and a no-IDA compatibility verifier for four protocol versions over stdio and HTTP. Update packaged skills and bilingual public usage guides.

Client migration: Restart the Gateway and reconnect the client to refresh tools, skills and allowlists. Direct tools take top-level operation parameters and return the operation result; existing domain tools retain list/describe/call and the method/result envelope. A busy or timeout response does not justify automatically repeating side-effecting operations. Protocol and SDK checks do not replace real Agent/model or licensed IDA integration tests.

Changes

• Add debugger discovery and selection, launch/remote connection configuration, process enumeration and attach, suspend, and detach. Existing start/exit, stepping, breakpoints, register reads, and memory access remain available.
• Keep one-time debugger permission shared by all MCP clients on the current IDA Pipe. Debugger commands enforce process-state requirements; accepted: true acknowledges a request, so query debugger.info to confirm completion.
• Add optional refresh to string.search and string.search_regex. Searches reuse the current IDB string list by default; refresh: true explicitly rebuilds it and cannot be combined with a pagination cursor.
• Fix Gateway handling of suspended IDA targets, including debugger.info responses that previously produced INTERNAL_ERROR.
• Add isolated, licensed idat integration coverage for plugin/Gateway communication and native debugger controls using an owned test process. These tests were run locally; GitHub-hosted CI runs compilation and unit tests only.

Limits

• Debugger permission still requires graphical IDA; headless MCP debugger calls remain denied. The native idat test driver is test-only and is excluded from release packages.
• GUI permission interaction and remote debugger connections have not been validated end to end. Register writes, data watchpoints, and a debugger event stream are not added in this release.
• String search operates on the IDB string list, not arbitrary live process memory. Initial list creation or explicit refresh can still take time. Restart pagination after changing the list; use bounded memory search for live memory.

更新内容

• 新增调试器发现与选择、启动及远程连接参数配置、进程枚举与附加、暂停和分离；继续支持已有的启动/结束、单步、断点、寄存器读取与内存访问。
• 保留当前 IDA Pipe 的一次性调试授权，所有 MCP 客户端共享授权。调试命令校验进程状态；accepted: true 表示请求已接受，完成状态需查询 debugger.info 确认。
• 为 string.search 和 string.search_regex 增加可选 refresh 参数。默认复用当前 IDB 字符串列表；仅 refresh: true 显式重建，且不能与分页游标同时使用。
