This update brings changes to how ensemble and weather data is handled.

Changes

Open-Meteo Forecast/Airquality Data Fetching

  • Added a throttle to prevent requests when regaining focus rapidly. Only revalidates if 3 minutes have passed since last focus.

Open-Meteo Ensemble Data Fetching

  • Ensemble data will now only refresh data for a given variable every 30 minutes (data is automatically refreshed every hour if new data wasn't fetched recently).

Note: Ensemble data isn't considered as urgent as the deterministic forecast data since its intended mainly for future forecasting. This change aims to bring a balance between keeping data fresh and preventing over fetching.

  • Updated loading message to also show when revalidating
