Fonts Fields

The Fonts field displays the fonts used in the current document. It is a read-only field that reports which fonts are referenced in the document, along with their type information.

Note: Fonts fields are read-only and are not available in Lightroom Classic.

What Fonts Shows

Each font entry in the list includes:

  • Type badge — A short abbreviation indicating the font technology:
    • OT — OpenType
    • TT — TrueType
    • T1 — Type 1 (PostScript)
    • CID — CID-keyed font
    • BM — Bitmap font
  • Font name — The family name and face (e.g., Helvetica Neue Bold), rendered in that font if it is installed on your system.
  • PostScript name — The technical PostScript name is shown in parentheses when it differs from the human-readable name (e.g., HelveticaNeue-Bold).
  • Composite — If the font is a composite (multi-script) font, a "Composite" tag is appended.

The list is collapsible. A count of the total number of fonts is shown in the header.

Exporting a Fonts Report

Click the Export Report button (download icon) in the field header to save a CSV file listing all fonts in the document. The report includes two columns: Font name and File name (the font's filename on disk, when available).

Configuring a Fonts Field

The Fonts field does not read from XMP properties — it queries the host application directly. You only need to provide a Display Name.

  • Display Name — The label that appears above the fonts list in the View.
