Decision Diary 0.2.1 — legal notices and a separate About screen

Download decision-diary.apk below. Requires Android 8.0+; approximately 412 MB including the offline AI model.

Changes

  • About is now a separate informational screen, with the app description, version, developer, and copyright.
  • About links to Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Copyright & Permitted Use, and third-party Licenses.
  • Terms, Privacy, and copyright documents are bundled for offline reading.
  • Onboarding lets users read Terms and Privacy before starting.
  • Settings contains security, backup, AI, and reminder controls, with a link to About.
  • Copyright © 2026 Aj Escaño. Proprietary notices are included in both repositories, with third-party license rights preserved.
  • Full Lora and EB Garamond font licenses are included alongside existing runtime/model notices.

Legal pages and contact

Do not post private journal entries, passcodes, or backup files in public issues. Request a suitable private contact channel before sharing sensitive information.

Verification

The pinned local build passed test, lint, and assembleDebug: 109 host tests, zero failures/errors, and zero lint errors (nine warnings). Three UI tests cover legal navigation, policy access before onboarding completion, and separation of About from Settings. The APK signature and bundled policy text were verified before publication. SHA256SUMS.txt contains the APK checksum.

Preview and update information

This is a signed development/debug preview, version 0.2.1, version code 3, application ID com.decisiondiary. It uses the same signing certificate as the previous 0.2.0 download and can update that build without uninstalling. Back up important entries before any update.

The app has no Internet permission. Native AI performance depends on the device; personal notes and the core diary work without AI. Journal records use Android app-private storage without a separate database encryption key; app-lock credentials and optional encrypted backups are encrypted.

Copyright notices and proprietary license terms do not represent copyright registration or a guarantee of enforceability. Third-party components retain their own license rights.
