git-found makes Git use the right GitHub account for each repo when you're signed in to more than one in the GitHub CLI.

Install:

brew install advaith334/tap/git-found
git-credential-found setup

Changes since 0.2.0: a clearer demo and README, nothing else. The script is unchanged apart from the version number.

What 0.2.x does:

  • Picks the account that can reach each repo (preferring push access) and remembers it for a day. It never changes your active gh account.
  • doctor checks why a repo still fails: SSH remotes, tokens stuck in the URL, expired logins, another credential helper answering first.
  • Tells you when an org's single sign-on is blocking the right account, with the link to approve the token.
  • git config found.account <login> pins a repo to one account.
  • setup covers github.com and any GitHub Enterprise host you're signed in to.
  • Works from GUI Git apps as well as the terminal.

Tested on macOS and Ubuntu.
