MOBero 0.4.0 adds solo mining with an in-app Monero node and a blockchain folder picker.
- Choose Solo mining, select a blockchain folder (including an external drive), and press Sync node.
- Node software is downloaded on request and verified against a pinned SHA256. A pruned blockchain saves storage; first sync still requires substantial disk space, bandwidth, and time.
- Start mining after sync completes using your primary Monero address. Mining never starts automatically after sync.
- The selected folder persists across restarts. Changing folders does not move or delete existing blockchain data.
- Quitting stops the node and miner and preserves sync progress. Pool mining remains the default.
Downloads: macOS 26+ Apple Silicon, Ubuntu 22.04+ x64, Windows 10+ x64. ZIP/tar.gz packages must stay together after extraction.
The macOS build is ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. The XMRig miner remains the same zero-donation build; corresponding source archives and SHA256SUMS are included.
Solo rewards depend on finding accepted blocks. Verify received rewards in your wallet.
