The security of encrypted private messages are very high. Only a specific private key is capable of decrypting the messages which makes this secure and this protocol allows for client to client interaction, cutting off the centralised server, which could have taken away the trust element.
However, despite the benefits of security of messages, the login server stores the login details and this makes the protocol very prone to hack. Using the public keys, a user can pull out data from the login server.
The only weakness for the client is the login server being prone to attack. Otherwise, the client does not even display his personal name. In fact, a username and public key is displayed which will definitely help the client feel safe in the presence of strangers.
