Using the interface

The left pane shows local files. The right pane shows remote files. The bottom pane contains the transfer queue, failures, history, logs, and statistics.

Move and select

Work with files

The built-in preview reads at most 128 KB. Press x to switch between text and hexadecimal views. Remote images up to 64 MB open through a temporary local copy.

The editor setting accepts a command and its flags. The default auto mode checks $VISUAL, $EDITOR, git config core.editor, and common editors on PATH.

Find and arrange files

Press / to filter the focused pane. Text without wildcard characters matches a case-insensitive substring. A query containing *, ?, or [ uses glob matching.

Press s to cycle through name, size, date, and type sorting. Press S to reverse the order.

Press B to add or remove a bookmark for the current directory. Press b to open the bookmark picker. Remote bookmarks belong to a saved profile. Local bookmarks are available for every connection.
