Themes

Cycle the theme with T, or pick one under Settings → Display. Every built-in theme is checked against WCAG-style contrast minimums by automated tests.

match-omarchy is a special entry for Omarchy users: it follows your current Omarchy desktop theme, remapped and contrast-corrected so TideMail stays readable whatever palette Omarchy is on. It reads the palette from omarchy-theme-color (falling back to ~/.local/state/omarchy/current/theme/colors.toml), works for both light and dark Omarchy themes, applies the palette to both styled UI and terminal-default text at startup, and repaints within a couple of seconds when you switch your desktop theme — no restart. If Omarchy isn't installed it falls back to catppuccin-mocha.
