Cooling system with Peltier
Since January 2026, the TARDIS Lab has been studying the implementation of a cooling system with a Peltier cooler for the probe station. The cooler is set to be mounted on the side wall of a new probe station container, which is thermally isolated. Airflow forced by fans improves the heat exchange efficiency and prevents condensation. Using a temperature probe, the system provides a feedback control to stabilize the probe station around the desired temperature. A control algorithm called PID (proportional, integrative, derivative) is also implemented.

A commercial thermoelectric assembly by the Tark Thermal Solutions AA-100-24-44 was selected.
A GUI on Windows platform is provided after setup for users to control the operational parameters, including the speed of cooling, the feedback oscillation of temperature, etc.
An user manual is composed by Rafael. Here is a table of content:
- List of materials
- Short description
- Cable connection
- Control GUI and options
- Operational instructions
