The Clipboard

The ColonyLink Clipboard is the main interface of the mod. It holds your builder links, stores the energy that pays for actions, and shows you what every linked builder is waiting on.

Opening it

Right click while holding it, or bind a key under Options, Controls, ColonyLink. The keybind is unbound by default so it never fights with another mod on a fresh install.

The Clipboard also works from a Curios slot if you have Curios installed. Charm, bracelet and hands slots all accept it, and the keybind still opens it from there.

Linking and unlinking

Sneak and right click a Builder's Hut to link that builder. Each linked builder gets a tab down the left side of the screen.

Unlink in the top left removes the builder currently shown. The default cap is five builders per Clipboard, raisable to ten by a server.

Reading the header

The block at the top tells you the state of everything:

  • Builder and Building, with the current work order in brackets.
  • Status, which mirrors what MineColonies thinks the builder is doing.
  • CPUs, the number of crafting CPUs your network has available.
  • Redirector, which reads Linked in green when the Clipboard can reach your ME network.

Locate highlights the builder through walls for a few seconds. It costs a small amount of RF and has a short cooldown.

Restart clears and requeues the builder's work order. It is the same thing as restarting from the hut GUI, and it is useful when a builder gets stuck on a build that will not progress.

The Priority Request line

Directly under the header is the Priority Request line. This is not a build material. It is an open request from the request system: a tool, a piece of armor, food when the builder is running low on saturation, and so on.

These behave differently from the resource list below, because MineColonies tracks them separately. Two things to know:

  • Once you fulfil one, the line greys out and reads Sent, and the button is disabled. It clears itself when MineColonies acknowledges the delivery, which can take a moment. This is deliberate. It stops repeated clicks from draining your network into a request the colony has not registered yet.
  • The small red button on the right of the line cancels that request outright, the same as cancelling from the builder's own GUI. The colony may create a new request later. Hovering it shows a tooltip.

The resource list

Below that is everything the builder still needs for the current build. Each row shows the item, the amount, and a status:

  • Available, in your network right now.
  • Craftable, your network has a pattern and can make it.
  • Crafting, a job is already running.
  • Missing, your network cannot supply it.

Send pushes that item. Craft starts an autocraft job for it.

The bottom row

  • Check Warehouse scans the colony Warehouse and marks anything already sitting there, so you do not send duplicates.
  • WH / AE2 switches which source the panel is reading from.
  • Craft All queues every craftable row at once.
  • Send All sends everything available.

Energy

Every send, craft and locate costs RF, and the Clipboard drains slowly while its GUI is open. Amounts are all configurable, and a server can set the cost to zero.

The bar under the item in your hotbar shows the charge level, coloured green, yellow or red. If you run out, actions are blocked by default until you charge it again.
