The relationship between Financial_Event_Groups and Transaction List? #5392
|
Hi there, I am doing a function development currently and need to figure out the relationship between the seller's withdrawal fund and transaction list. From my understanding, one Transaction List file is composed by a financial event group, which has a financial event group ID on top, and the rest parts are composed by a series of financial events, and most of them are Amazon sales orders, so the one with description 'Order Payment' would be the fund withdrawal by the seller, and would be accounted for the total amount in that specific financial event group? I also found the description 'Disbursement', is it a kind of expenses paid to whom/where? And are there any other "descriptions" are not withdrawals? Correct me if I'm wrong, I desperately need help with the clarification of these two files. Appreciated if anyone replies! |

I think you're mixing up the transaction that creates the balance with the transaction that actually pays it out.
The actual payout is the disbursement. In the current Finances model, So roughly:
That also means you shouldn't treat every description in the transaction list as a withdrawal.
If you're building reconciliation logic, I'd match the payout using the disbursement/transfer identifiers and then use the transactions in the related group to explain how Amazon arrived at that amount. |

Order Paymentis not the seller withdrawal itself. It's a transaction describing money generated by an order. The actual payout is the disbursement.
In the current Finances model,
DISBURSEMENT_IDis described as the ID for Amazon's bank transfer, which is the useful link if you're trying to reconcile money that actually left Amazon and went to the seller. So roughly:
