What's new in 1.87.0

• A copy can be moved with the mouse and copied again
  After duplicating, the copy lies exactly on the original. A mouse press on it sometimes hit the original instead of the selected copy, and the original moved. That broke the chain that lets the next duplicate carry on by the same step (for a row of holes, say), and the next copy stayed where it was. Where bodies lie exactly on one another, the one that is already selected now wins.
• "Save as default" keeps the colour, too
  Colour a shape, a cylinder for example, and press "Save as default" in the Properties panel: every new cylinder then starts in that colour, and the other kinds keep their own. "Reset defaults" gives the app's colour back. Also, a second save or reset in the same design did not reach new shapes; that is fixed.
• A typed measure also counts when you click beside the box
  If you typed a number into a measure box on a body (or into the angle box) and click on empty space with the left mouse button, layerling now applies the number, as the right click already did. Before, a left click lost it. Esc still cancels.
• Align: the handles keep apart
  On small parts the handles of Align lay so close that you could not click them one by one, and zooming far in made them disappear. Now the three handles of an axis keep a minimum distance, and handles that are still in front of the camera stay visible when you zoom.
• Arrow keys: the view follows only when needed
  The arrow keys move a body, and the view goes along when it would otherwise leave the picture. Before, it also went along when the body already lay at the edge or outside, after zooming in far for example: then the body stood still and everything else slid past. Now the view goes along only when the body is in the picture and would leave it.
• Fillet and chamfer: “Bottom edges”
  Next to “Top edges”, the Fillet and Chamfer tools now have “Bottom edges”: one click picks only the edges along the very bottom of the body, such as the foot of a part. That rounds or chamfers just the lower end without clicking the edges one by one. The AI connection understands it too (“bottom”).
• The height value also stands at the height handle
  When you pulled the top middle handle, the height value stood only at the vertical edge, often far from the handle, and it vanished when you zoomed in. Now it also stands right at the handle (above it, below the lower handle), always in view, and can be clicked there to type a number. The measure at the edge stays as it was.
• The hide button stays when several bodies are selected
  In the properties window the button with the eye disappeared as soon as more than one body was selected, and you had to use the Visibility menu. Now it stands beside the lock for several bodies too: it hides all the selected ones, and when all of them are hidden it shows them again. Ctrl+H does the same.
• Hidden shapes can be seen now
  When shapes are hidden, a small number sits on the button of the Visibility group; a click on it shows them all again. If you open a design that has hidden shapes, a message tells you once, with a button “Show all”. Hidden shapes stay hidden if you do nothing.
• The Crescent is closed and no longer comes out hollow
  The two lids of the Crescent faced the wrong way against its walls. A slicer therefore took the place where it overlaps another body for a hole, and in the export it could not be merged with other bodies. The mesh is closed now, and the Crescent behaves like any other shape.
• The AI can save the project as a .lyl
  Through the MCP connection an AI could write STL, 3MF and OBJ to a path, but not the editable design. The new tool layerling_save_project saves the whole design as a .lyl file at a path on the computer of the MCP server, without a dialog. An existing file is only replaced when you say so, and the target of Ctrl+S in the editor stays as it was.
• The user guide is now also in Polish
  All 17 chapters of the guide are translated into Polish, and the buttons are named in it exactly as in the Polish interface. The search (Ctrl+K and the search in the guide) now also finds words with "ł" when you type "l". Two sentences in the guide showed a raw "{count}" in every language; that is fixed.
• The list of shortcuts can be printed
  The window with the keyboard shortcuts, in the editor and in sketch mode alike, has a printer button next to the question mark. It prints only the list, black on white and in large type. In the print dialog of the browser you can also save it as a PDF. Ctrl+P while the window is open does the same.
• A hovering Apple Pencil shows the names of buttons
  On an iPad layerling now shows the name of a button or field in a small bubble when the Apple Pencil rests above it for a moment, as a mouse shows a tooltip. This works on iPads whose Pencil can hover.
• Tapered, turned cylinders keep their turn when grouped
  A cylinder with a taper or a lean that you had turned by 90 degrees came out unturned when grouped (and when exported), so the group had other measures than its parts. The turn is kept now.
• The grid can be reset to the standard
  If the grid colour was set so that no grid can be seen any more, one click brings it back: at the end of the Workplane page in the settings, “Reset grid” puts visibility, colours, spacing and line weight back to the standard, for the design and for the default saved with “Make default”. The plate's size and printer stay as they are.
• The shape library can be pulled to any size
  The edges and corners of the shape library pull its width and height, as large or small as your screen needs; the browser remembers the size. When the library is narrow, it shows only the pictures without names, and the name is in the tooltip.
• The ruler can be pulled to 500 mm by its handles
  The handles of the ruler stopped at the size of the plate, at least 220 mm, while its slider went up to 500 mm. Now the handles reach as far as the slider does.
• Colours of your own can be kept for good
  The colours you mix yourself were already listed under “Recently used”, but only eight, and the oldest dropped out. The pin in the new row “Kept” holds the colour you have chosen: it stands in a row of its own, newer colours never push it out, and the same pin lets go of it again. Up to 21 colours are kept in this browser.
• The Text shape gets a letter edge
  In the Text properties you can round or chamfer the top edge of the letters, with a size of up to 5 mm, as on a name tag. A rounding goes as far as the strokes are wide, and the underside stays flat.
• The view can be panned to parts beside the plate
  If you had parked parts far beside the plate, the mouse could not take the view over to them: the point the view pans and turns around stayed on the plate, except after “Center view on selection”. It now reaches the farthest body of the design.
• The shape library no longer meets an invisible edge when moved
  With a small or large toolbar the shape library stopped short of the window's edge when moved, or ran out of the window on the right and below. Now it goes as far as the window's edge at every toolbar size.

Kaj je novega v 1.87.0

• Kopijo lahko premakneš z miško in jo znova podvojiš
  Po podvajanju kopija leži natanko na izvirniku. Klik z miško nanjo je včasih zadel izvirnik namesto izbrane kopije in izvirnik se je premaknil. S tem se je prekinila veriga, ki naslednje podvajanje premakne za isti odmik (na primer za vrsto lukenj), in naslednja kopija je ostala na mestu. Zdaj pri telesih, ki ležijo natanko eno na drugem, prednost dobi že izbrano.
• »Shrani kot privzeto« si zapomni tudi barvo
  Obarvaj obliko, na primer valj, in v oknu z lastnostmi pritisni »Shrani kot privzeto«: vsak nov valj se bo začel s to barvo, druge vrste obdržijo svoje. »Ponastavi privzeto« vrne barvo programa. Popravljeno je tudi, da drugo shranjevanje ali ponastavitev v istem projektu pri novih oblikah ni imelo učinka.
• Vtipkana mera velja tudi ob kliku mimo polja
  Če si v polje z mero na telesu (ali v polje za kot) vtipkal število in z levim gumbom miške klikneš v prazno, ga layerling zdaj sprejme, tako kot je že pri desnem kliku. Prej se je ob levem kliku izgubilo. Esc še vedno prekliče.
• Poravnaj: ročice ostanejo narazen
  Pri majhnih delih so ročice orodja »Poravnaj« ležale tako blizu, da si jih ni bilo mogoče posamično klikniti, pri močnem približevanju pa so izginile. Zdaj tri ročice ene osi ohranjajo najmanjšo razdaljo, ročice, ki so še pred kamero, pa ostanejo vidne tudi pri približevanju.
• Puščične tipke: pogled sledi samo, kadar je treba
  Puščične tipke premikajo telo, pogled pa gre zraven, če bi telo sicer zapustilo sliko. Prej je sledil tudi, ko je bilo telo že na robu ali zunaj, na primer po močnem približevanju: telo je stalo, vse drugo pa je drselo mimo. Zdaj pogled sledi le, če je telo v sliki in bi jo zapustilo.
• Zaobli in posnemi: »Spodnji robovi«
  Ob »Zgornji robovi« imata orodji za zaobljenje in posnetje zdaj tudi »Spodnji robovi«: en klik izbere samo robove čisto na dnu telesa, na primer nožico dela. Tako zaobliš ali posnameš samo spodnji konec, ne da bi robove klikal posamično. Razume ga tudi povezava z umetno inteligenco (»bottom«).
• Vrednost višine je tudi ob ročici za višino
  Ko si vlekel zgornjo srednjo ročico, je bila vrednost višine le ob navpičnem robu, pogosto daleč od ročice, pri približevanju pa je izginila. Zdaj je dodatno tudi tik ob ročici (nad njo, pri spodnji ročici pod njo), vedno v sliki, in jo lahko tam klikneš ter vtipkaš število. Mera ob robu ostane, kot je bila.
• Gumb za skrivanje ostane pri več izbranih telesih
  V oknu z lastnostmi je gumb z očesom izginil, takoj ko je bilo izbrano več kot eno telo, in bilo je treba uporabiti meni »Vidnost«. Zdaj je ob ključavnici tudi pri več telesih: skrije vsa izbrana, če pa so vsa že skrita, jih spet pokaže. Enako stori Ctrl+H.
• Skrite oblike so zdaj opazne
  Ko so oblike skrite, je na gumbu skupine »Vidnost« majhno število; klik nanj jih vse spet prikaže. Če odpreš projekt s skritimi oblikami, ti sporočilo to enkrat pove, z gumbom »Prikaži vse skrito«. Skrito pa ostane skrito, če ne narediš nič.
• Polmesec je zaprt in ni več votel
  Oba pokrova polmeseca sta bila glede na stene obrnjena narobe. Zato je razrezovalnik mesto, kjer se prekriva z drugim telesom, imel za luknjo, pri izvozu pa ga ni bilo mogoče združiti z drugimi telesi. Zdaj je mreža zaprta in se polmesec obnaša kot vsaka druga oblika.
• Umetna inteligenca lahko projekt shrani kot .lyl
  Prek povezave MCP je umetna inteligenca doslej lahko zapisala STL, 3MF in OBJ na pot, ne pa tudi urejljivega projekta. Novo orodje layerling_save_project shrani ves projekt kot datoteko .lyl na pot na računalniku strežnika MCP, brez pogovornega okna. Obstoječa datoteka se zamenja le, če to poveš, cilj Ctrl+S v urejevalniku pa ostane, kot je bil.
• Vodnik je zdaj tudi v poljščini
  Vseh 17 poglavij vodnika je prevedenih v poljščino, gumbi pa se v njem imenujejo natanko tako kot v poljskem vmesniku. Iskanje (Ctrl+K in iskanje po vodniku) zdaj najde besede z »ł« tudi, ko vtipkaš »l«. V dveh stavkih vodnika je bil v vsakem jeziku viden surov »{count}«; to je popravljeno.
• Seznam bližnjic lahko natisneš
  Okno z bližnjicami na tipkovnici, v urejevalniku in v skici, ima ob vprašaju gumb s tiskalnikom. Natisne samo seznam, črno na belem in z veliko pisavo. V pogovornem oknu tiskanja v brskalniku ga lahko shraniš tudi kot PDF. Enako stori Ctrl+P, ko je okno odprto.
• Apple Pencil ob lebdenju pokaže imena gumbov
  Na iPadu layerling zdaj v majhnem oblačku pokaže ime gumba ali polja, ko Apple Pencil za trenutek lebdi nad njim, tako kot miška pokaže namig. To velja za iPade, pri katerih Pencil zna lebdeti.
• Zoženi, zasukani valji pri združevanju obdržijo zasuk
  Valj z zožitvijo ali nagibom, ki si ga zasukal za 90 stopinj, je pri združevanju v skupino (in pri izvozu) prišel ven nezasukan, zato je imela skupina drugačne mere kot njeni deli. Zasuk se zdaj ohrani.
• Mrežo lahko ponastaviš na standard
  Če je bila barva mreže nastavljena tako, da mreže ni več videti, se zdaj vrneš z enim klikom: na koncu strani delovne ravnine v nastavitvah »Ponastavi mrežo« vrne vidnost, barve, razmik in debelino črt na standard, za projekt in za privzeto vrednost, shranjeno z »Nastavi kot privzeto«. Velikost in tiskalnik plošče ostaneta, kot sta.
• Velikost knjižnice oblik lahko povlečeš
  Robovi in vogali knjižnice oblik vlečejo njeno širino in višino, tako veliko ali majhno, kot jo potrebuje tvoj zaslon; velikost si brskalnik zapomni. Kadar je knjižnica ozka, pokaže samo slike brez imen, ime pa je v namigu.
• Ravnilo lahko z ročicama povlečeš do 500 mm
  Ročici ravnila sta se ustavili pri velikosti plošče, vsaj pri 220 mm, drsnik pa je šel do 500 mm. Zdaj segata tudi ročici tako daleč kot drsnik.
• Lastne barve lahko obdržiš za stalno
  Barve, ki jih zmešaš sam, so bile že pod »Nedavno uporabljeno«, vendar le osem, najstarejša pa je izpadla. S pripenjalko v novi vrsti »Shranjene« izbrano barvo zadržiš: stoji v svoji vrsti, novejše barve je nikoli ne izpodrinejo, ista pripenjalka pa jo spet sprosti. V tem brskalniku se ohrani do 21 barv.
• Besedilo dobi rob črk
  V lastnostih besedila zgornji rob črk zaobliš ali posnameš, z velikostjo do 5 mm, tako kot pri imenski tablici. Zaobljenje sega tako daleč, kot so široke črte, spodnja stran pa ostane ravna.
• Pogled lahko zamakneš k delom ob plošči
  Kdor je dele odložil daleč ob ploščo, z miško ni mogel do njih: točka, okoli katere se pogled premika in vrti, je ostala na plošči, razen po »Osredini pogled na izbor«. Zdaj sega do najbolj oddaljenega telesa v projektu.
• Knjižnica oblik se pri premikanju ne zatika več ob nevidni rob
  Pri majhni ali veliki orodni vrstici se je knjižnica oblik pri premikanju ustavila pred robom okna ali pa je desno in spodaj ušla iz okna. Zdaj pri vsaki velikosti orodne vrstice seže do roba okna.
