Redlight 1.3
Redlight 1.3 adds command control across the menu bar, terminal, Shortcuts, Siri, and Control Center.
- New master switch remembers your enabled displays.
- The
redlightCLI installs automatically when the app runs from Applications. Control levels, presets, Adaptive, display filters, appearance, login, and updates, or read JSON status. - Shortcuts and Siri actions use the same commands. Add Redlight from Control Center → Edit Controls → Add Controls on macOS 26 or later.
- Single-instance ownership prevents multiple Redlight copies from controlling displays.
- State-changing commands interrupt active slider and band-marker drags so an older drag cannot overwrite a command.
- Turning Adaptive off holds the current rendered output, including during a fade.
- Fixed Control Center extension startup crashes and adjusted its tile styling.
- Fixed overlapping sun-chart dotted lines by using the curve's solar-elevation scale and omitting crowded guides.
- About, CLI, and status now agree on the version; build numbers advance automatically.
- Updated the README with setup, commands, and build instructions.
Build: 1.3 (42). Apple silicon; macOS 14 or later. Control Center requires macOS 26 or later. Download Redlight-1.3.dmg below, or use the app's Updates button. First-launch instructions for this unnotarized app are in the README.
Validation: 272 Swift tests and 8 build-version tests passed. Bundle metadata, extension entry point, entitlements, code signatures, and the Sparkle update signature were verified. Two ownership subprocess tests remain excluded because their test launcher times out.
