What's new in 2.0.0

Version 2 is a rebuild. LoopNest now sits on a track as an audio effect, locks to your song's tempo and bar grid, and can run the track's own audio through the rack.

  • Sync: follows your DAW's tempo with the pitch held. Drag the tempo for a tempo of its own.
  • Bar-grid lock: with SYNC and LOOP on, the loop runs on the song's bar grid and follows the transport.
  • Audition and Live: AUDITION plays the spun loop. LIVE runs the track's own audio through the rack.
  • Drag in: drop audio from Finder, Splice or Live onto the tape rack to add it to your loop folder.
  • Print bins, back and forward through your spins, and PLATE, HALL or SPRING reverb.

Install (macOS 13+, Apple Silicon)

  • VST3 (Ableton, Reaper, Bitwig, Cubase, Studio One) → ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
  • AU (Logic, GarageBand, MainStage) → ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

LoopNest isn't notarized, so macOS won't load it until you clear the download mark. After copying, run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/LoopNest.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/LoopNest.component

Then restart your DAW. Full steps, including Logic notes, are in the bundled INSTALL.txt.

Version 2 replaces version 1. Sets made with 1.x open with LoopNest missing; 1.0.2 stays here for those.

Source code is MIT. The plugin binaries are AGPLv3 (built with JUCE); third-party notices are in the zip.
