Native Tile features

The Features panel uses Home Assistant's native Tile feature editor and renderer. Available features are filtered for the selected entity type.

Typical defaults are:

  • Heating: HVAC modes, target temperature and climate presets
  • Shutters: open/close and position
  • Lights: Toggle and brightness
  • Appliances: Toggle

Features can be reordered, edited or removed. Bottom stacks them beneath the header. Inline places them in columns below the header.

Secondary status

Open the separate Secondary status editor section to show state or attribute values from the selected entity or another entity. Clicking the rendered status opens more-info for that entity.

secondary_status:
  entity: sensor.lounge_temperature
  state_content:
    - state

The entity is optional. Without it, Secondary status follows the room being rendered. In Master mode, the editor provides one optional entity mapping per room of the active type.

Enable Show state labels to display values as Label: value. When the primary state is hidden, Secondary status moves into the freed primary-state row.

When labels are hidden, hover a primary or secondary status value to see the label of its source field, such as Current temperature, Target temperature, Current action or Percentage demand.

Secondary status is rendered directly in the room header and does not consume a native feature row. Configurations created by older builds may contain custom:wiser-secondary-status-feature in features. The visual editor migrates that entry to secondary_status; new configurations should use the dedicated setting shown above.

Next schedule

Next schedule adds a calendar action that advances an eligible heating room to its next schedule period. The normal schedule text remains in the room header.

Override end time

Override end time is available as a header feature and as Secondary-status state content. It displays the calculated end time and remaining duration when an override or boost is active.

Passive mode

Passive mode is available for Wiser heating rooms that expose a related Passive mode switch. It toggles that switch directly from the card. When the room heating mode is Off, an enabled Passive mode button uses the normal inactive grey appearance rather than the active heating colour.

Content

The Content panel provides:

  • Composed or custom name
  • Icon and state-aware colour
  • Show/hide primary state
  • Primary state-content selection
  • Current/target temperature emphasis for heating
  • Show/hide readings and next schedule

Names, state labels and entity values use Home Assistant's native components and localisation.

Interactions

Card and icon tap actions are available by default. Add hold or double-tap actions as needed. Card tap defaults to More info. Light and appliance icon taps default to Toggle; other icon taps default to More info.
