Welcome to v1.5.2! In this update, we have completely synchronized the core application with the original developer's massive v1.5.1 feature drop while strictly preserving and enhancing our custom Car Edition optimizations.

This update brings massive audio upgrades and stability improvements while ensuring the app stays lightweight and smooth on standard Android Head Units.

🛠️ Car Edition Specific Fixes & Optimizations

• Smart OTA Updater (NEW): The in-app updater now intelligently detects your car's CPU architecture (e.g. arm32) and automatically downloads the perfect, lightweight APK match instead of blindly downloading the first file.
• Official 32-bit Audio Fix: Integrated the official hardware-detecting audio sink logic. The previous "khiich-khiich" clipping on heavy bass drops is now permanently resolved across all DSPs.
• Removed Video/Audio Toggle: The video-to-audio switch button on the Now Playing screen was confusing and has been removed to keep the player strictly focused on a clean music experience.
• Disabled Background Videos (Spotify Canvas): We disabled the new "Animated Canvas" background videos by default. This saves massive amounts of RAM and GPU power, preventing lag on cheap 1GB/2GB Android Stereos.
• Perfect UI Scaling: The new upstream 'liquid glass' animations have been carefully merged with our custom 85% density scaling, ensuring buttons never look huge or overlap your car's AC controls.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Which APK should I download?

To make the app faster and take up less storage, we are now providing Two Different APKs. Please read carefully before downloading:

1️⃣ BitChord-CarEdition-v1.5.2-arm32-Small.apk (RECOMMENDED FOR CARS)

• Size: ~56 MB
• For: 99% of Aftermarket Android Car Stereos (Nakamichi, Joying, TS9, T3L, etc.)
• Why: Car stereos use mobile ARM processors. This APK is stripped of unnecessary PC/Emulator code, making it extremely lightweight, fast, and optimized for low RAM.

2️⃣ BitChord-CarEdition-v1.5.2-Universal.apk (FOR EMULATORS / PHONES)

• Size: ~150 MB+
• For: Windows Emulators, Android Studio, and newer 64-bit flagship phones.
• Why: Contains code for all architectures (including x86_64). Use this only if the arm32-Small version fails to install with an "ABI" error on your specific device.

BitChord v1.5.1 (Car Edition) - Hotfix Update

This is the first OTA update for BitChord (Car Edition)! It brings crucial stability, UI, and rendering fixes specifically targeted at Android Automotive stereos and low-end head units.

🐛 Bug Fixes & Improvements

• Audio Distortion Fix: Resolved the scratchy/clipping sound ("khiich-khiich") that occurred during heavy bass drops. Restored ExoPlayer's highly optimized native audio pipeline for crystal-clear sound processing on car DSPs.
• Graphic Tearing (Pixel Cuts) Fix: Disabled the heavy "Glassmorphism" (Blur/Haze) effect by default. This resolves the severe black pixel glitching and screen tearing on Album Art grids caused by weak hardware acceleration (GPUs) on car stereos. The UI is now solid, clean, and 10x faster.
• HVAC / Bottom Bar Overlap: Added proper System Insets (systemBarsPadding). The app's bottom bar and settings footer will no longer get cut off or hide behind the car's permanent climate control (AC) bar.
• Landscape Player Resize: Fixed an issue where the right-side docked player was taking up ~50% of the screen width on 1408p/720p car displays, which enlarged the album art and squished the playback controls. The player panel is now much slimmer and properly proportioned.

🛠️ Core Hardware & Architecture Fixes

• Added Native 32-Bit (armeabi-v7a) Support: Fixed the notorious "App not installed" errors on car stereos running 32-bit Android OS to save RAM.
• Hardware Restrictions Bypassed: Removed strict smartphone manifest requirements (Camera, GPS, Telephony). The package installer will no longer block installation on your dashboard.
• Landscape Screen Unlocked: Removed the hardcoded portrait orientation locks. The app now fully supports and adapts to wide dashboard displays (e.g., 1280x720).

📱 UX & UI Optimizations for Drivers

• UI Density Scaling (15% Reduction): Implemented a global scaling fix to make the UI look proportional on large tablet/dashboard screens instead of appearing heavily zoomed-in.
• Auto-Hide Volume Bar: The in-app volume slider is now hidden by default to save precious screen real estate, leaving more room for lyrics and album art.
• Quick-Kill Music (Recents): "Stop music on close from recents" is now enabled by default. Simply clear your RAM or swipe the app away from your recent tasks to stop the music while driving instantly.

📥 How to Install

Method 1: USB Flash Drive (Offline)

1. Download BitChord-CarEdition-v1.5.apk below to your PC.
2. Transfer it to a FAT32-formatted USB Drive.
3. Plug it into your car and install it via the built-in File Manager.

Method 2: Wireless Transfer

1. Download the APK directly on your primary phone.
2. Use the "Send Anywhere" app to securely transfer and install the APK over Wi-Fi directly to your car stereo.
