Welcome to the BitChord (Car Edition)! This is the first official release of the specialized port designed exclusively for Android Car Stereos and Head Units (like Nakamichi, Pioneer, etc.).

This release brings all the features of the original BitChord v1.5, optimized to bypass car hardware restrictions and deliver a premium, landscape-first driving experience.

🌟 What's New in the Car Edition?

🛠️ Core Hardware & Architecture Fixes

  • Added Native 32-Bit (armeabi-v7a) Support: Fixed the notorious "App not installed" errors on car stereos running 32-bit Android OS to save RAM.
  • Hardware Restrictions Bypassed: Removed strict smartphone manifest requirements (Camera, GPS, Telephony). The package installer will no longer block installation on your dashboard.
  • Landscape Screen Unlocked: Removed the hardcoded portrait orientation locks. The app now fully supports and adapts to wide dashboard displays (e.g., 1280x720).

📱 UX & UI Optimizations for Drivers

  • UI Density Scaling (15% Reduction): Implemented a global scaling fix to make the UI look proportional on large tablet/dashboard screens instead of appearing heavily zoomed-in.
  • Auto-Hide Volume Bar: The in-app volume slider is now hidden by default to save precious screen real estate, leaving more room for lyrics and album art.
  • Quick-Kill Music (Recents): "Stop music on close from recents" is now enabled by default. Simply clear your RAM or swipe the app away from your recent tasks to stop the music while driving instantly.

📥 How to Install

Method 1: USB Flash Drive (Offline)

  1. Download BitChord-CarEdition-v1.5.apk below to your PC.
  2. Transfer it to a FAT32-formatted USB Drive.
  3. Plug it into your car and install it via the built-in File Manager.

Method 2: Wireless Transfer

  1. Download the APK directly on your primary phone.
  2. Use the "Send Anywhere" app to securely transfer and install the APK over Wi-Fi directly to your car stereo.

(Note: Ensure "Install from Unknown Sources" is enabled in your Android Head Unit Settings).
