V ImGui v0.3.2-standard — standard source patch

Choose a tag to compare

@antono3 antono3 released this 09 Oct 09:33
36cbe55

Source patch — standard

The default desktop launcher now selects the verified examples v1.0.1 release, including the Linux window-mapping fix, instead of the old demo commit. Required demo CI verifies direct and transitive dependency pins; its Windows module path is explicit. QUICKSTART installs dependencies from v.mod with v install, avoiding a duplicated version list. The launcher documents --demo-revision REF and preserves explicitly supplied checkouts.

Dear ImGui remains 1.92.9b. Generated bindings, native sources and native ABI are unchanged from v0.3.1-standard. This release updates the source launcher, setup documentation and CI; it adds no new native API.

Examples and downloads

Use the canonical examples v1.0.1 release for Linux/Windows standard/docking desktop ZIPs and signed Android APKs. Its desktop packages were built against ImGui 0.3.1, whose generated/native sources are unchanged in this patch. The Android APKs are the byte-identical signed Android 1.0.0 files, with their original source/version provenance. No new Android binary or device/speech validation is implied here.

For this standard source release, check out v0.3.2-standard; native setup builds the matching upstream variant. The companion default docking source tag is v0.3.2.

Verification and provenance

All executed PR #95 checks passed: dependency verification, stable desktop demos, pinned V3/current-master compatibility, committed-binding regeneration, portable tooling, native accessibility and Android/Apple backend builds. The proposal-writing job is intentionally skipped on PR events. Local tooling tests passed 3/3; the dependency-check fixtures passed with stable V and pinned V3.

Source 36cbe55 has the same tracked tree (e95d21374af9d93fcaeba795ee64ca56f5927608) as tested PR head f4805c3. No compiled assets are duplicated here; examples release provenance identifies their exact builds and checksums.

V ImGui v0.3.1

Choose a tag to compare

@antono3 antono3 released this 09 Oct 07:01
c32534c

Demo launcher update: ImGui v0.3.2 selects the fixed examples release by default. If retaining this source tag, use scripts/run_demo.vsh --demo-revision v1.0.1. Generated/native sources and ABI are unchanged in that patch.

Source maintenance release

  • Pin Vulkan v3.2.2 and GLFW v2.0.1 throughout the source dependency graph.
  • Align the V module version with the wrapper release and record the bundled Dear ImGui version correctly.
  • Derive the upstream version during regeneration, including WIP suffixes and trailing comments.
  • Ship the post-0.3.0 standalone demo install fixes and Android digit-entry fix.
  • Pin Java/Android actions, validate repository-token upstream proposals explicitly, and avoid duplicate documentation-only push builds.

The docking and standard source trees passed committed regeneration, required pinned V3 and advisory current-master checks, Linux/Windows/macOS desktop checks, Android builds, and Apple Metal/device/simulator builds. Shared mobile integration matches between variants.

This release contains source maintenance. Compiled example downloads retain their separately recorded build provenance.

V ImGui v0.3.0 — mobile and native accessibility

Choose a tag to compare

@antono3 antono3 released this 03 Oct 08:54
fa2e194

V ImGui 0.3.0

Android Vulkan and Apple Metal/iOS source integrations, a shared application UI layer and native accessibility adapters for Linux AT-SPI, Windows UI Automation, Android, macOS and iOS.

Android includes native text/IME and Unicode selection, lifecycle handling, clipboard integration and dynamic content bounds for software navigation bars and the keyboard. The application UI layer supplies labelled controls, focus/actions, high contrast, text scaling, status/progress and virtual file lists.

The setup and packaging helpers use V and native platform tools. Generated bindings remain committed. This release has a docking source tag (v0.3.0) and companion standard tag (v0.3.0-standard); keep each variant's generated bindings and native library together.

The accompanying compiled examples include the GLFW/Vulkan example, widget gallery, ImPlot dashboard and Android touch/text app, with their application libraries. Extract a desktop ZIP and open examples.exe on Windows or run ./run.sh on Linux. Choose the docking package for docking and platform viewport support.

Example downloads · Installation guide · Mobile source guide

Both variants passed native desktop and mobile source checks. The compiled example downloads passed bundled runtime and native accessibility checks, with the signed universal APK verified on an Android 13 tablet. Apple builds are source integrations; no installable Apple package is included.

See BUILD-PROVENANCE.txt for source commits, CI runs, toolchains and test coverage. The companion standard source tag matches the standard desktop ZIPs.

V ImGui v0.2.1 — Linux and Windows demos

Choose a tag to compare

@antono3 antono3 released this 10 Sep 10:45
20c7b17

Dear ImGui 1.92.9b bindings for V, with both maintained upstream variants and complete prebuilt demos for Ubuntu 24.04 and Windows x64.

Variants

  • v0.2.1 is the default docking variant.
  • v0.2.1-standard is the companion standard-branch source tag.
  • Every binary archive includes VARIANT.txt and displays its variant in the demo.

Prebuilt demos

  • Ubuntu 24.04 archives include the executable, native libraries and run.sh.
  • Windows archives now include the complete V demo executable together with vimgui.dll, glfw3.dll and setup guidance. A Vulkan-capable driver and the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) are required.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt covers all four archives.

Validation

  • Docking and standard source variants were independently built on Ubuntu 24.04 and Windows Server 2022.
  • Both exact post-merge Ubuntu archives were launched and visually checked for their intended floating/docking behavior.
  • Both Windows archives passed full MSVC compilation, archive verification, x64 PE inspection, variant-marker checks and runtime dependency inspection.
  • Maintained branches now publish an always-present required-checks status, preventing path-filtered branch-protection deadlocks.

V ImGui v0.2.0 — standard and docking

Choose a tag to compare

@antono3 antono3 released this 09 Sep 23:35
372ffc5

Dear ImGui 1.92.9b bindings and prebuilt V + GLFW + Vulkan demos for both supported upstream variants.

Choose a variant

  • Docking: v-imgui-demo-docking-ubuntu24-amd64.zip — enables the main dockspace and optional platform viewports. Source tag: v0.2.0 (default master line).
  • Standard: v-imgui-demo-standard-ubuntu24-amd64.zip — preserves independent floating windows without docking-only symbols. Source tag: v0.2.0-standard (standard line).

Both variants expose the same convenience API: upstream_variant, configure_docking, configure_platform_viewports, create_main_dockspace and render_platform_viewports. Unsupported docking operations are safe no-ops on the standard line.

Quick start

unzip v-imgui-demo-<variant>-ubuntu24-amd64.zip
cd v-imgui-demo-<variant>-ubuntu24-amd64
./run.sh

Replace <variant> with docking or standard. Each package contains VARIANT.txt, the compiled demo, libvimgui, GLFW and the required C++ runtime libraries. A graphical session, the operating-system Vulkan loader and a Vulkan-capable driver are required.

Verification

  • Both Ubuntu 24.04 x86-64 archives were built from their exact tagged branch commits by green post-merge workflows.
  • ZIP integrity, SHA-256 checksums, executable permissions, relative runtime paths and bundled-library resolution passed.
  • The exact standard artifact was visually launched with independent floating windows.
  • The exact docking artifact was visually launched with its dockspace and platform-viewports option; docking was interactively confirmed before release.
  • Windows x64 native shared/static build paths passed CI for both variants. Windows downloadable demo packaging remains a future milestone.
  • The demo source is pinned to antono2/v_imgui_examples commit c2b5083d42f052cfe73952542e86e4163c64ce79.
