Add support for HTTPS requests to Varnish cache #7722

@AbdelrahmanElawady

Description

@AbdelrahmanElawady

This Feature Request affects these Traffic Control components:

  • Traffic Control Cache Config (t3c, formerly ORT)
  • CDN in a Box

Description

Varnish only supports HTTP requests. So, any HTTPS requests to cache servers running only Varnish will fail. Hitch can be used with Varnish to handle terminating SSL and passing requests to Varnish. Some configuration will need to be generated too for Hitch.
