Transceiver

Wojtek Siudzinski edited this page Jan 25, 2014 · 1 revision

Transceiver sketch is a Arduino code which waits on serial for 15 bytes of ASCII representation of Tri-State code and pulse width or L character to start listening for codes.

Required libraries

Data format

Data frame consists of 15 bytes/characters:

  • 3 characters with ASCII coded pulse length
  • 12 characters of Tri-state code

Examples of serial transmission

>>> indicates data sent to Arduino

<<< indicates data received to Arduino

Warning: when transceiver is listening, no codes will be sent. You have to cancel listening first.

Sending code:

>>> 232F0FF0FFF0101
<<< Sent pulse length: 222 Tri-state code: F0FF0FFF0101

Starting to listen and detecting code:

>>> L
<<< Listening...
<<< Received pulse length: 231 Tri-state code: 00F0FFFF0101

Starting to listen and timing out (timeout is set to about 5 seconds):

>>> L
<<< Listening...
<<< Timed out

Starting to listen and and then canceling it

>>> L
<<< Listening...
>>> C
<<< Canceled
