Pinyon Shift 0.1.2-preview.3 - Highly experimental native renderer

Highly experimental prerelease for testing. This checkpoints the latest
FH1-specific native renderer work. It is not a stable release and does not
complete Xenos retirement.

Included

  • FH1-specific renderer integration with native shader paths for selected scene,
    shadow and depth families, owned geometry caches, and native rectangle clears.
  • Shared terrain fetch branching and packed normalization corrections validated
    against captured rendering output.
  • Renderer test automation, performance checkpoints, and current playtest notes.
  • Removal of superseded renderer prototypes and their obsolete tooling.

The experimental full C347/21B70 terrain material pair remains disabled. Paired
GPU timing probes and forced-fallback diagnostics are not enabled in this build.

Known issues

  • Some NPC animations appear accelerated. Title-screen UI transitions may also
    be affected; their timing has not yet been confirmed.
  • Certain areas show severe frame-rate drops and choppiness, recovering after
    leaving. One reported location dropped to approximately 15 render FPS.
  • General driving was reported around 70 FPS on the developer's test setup.
    This is not a performance guarantee or a revised minimum-hardware requirement.
  • Xenos-compatible command, texture, render-target and resource handling remains.
    Further visual and performance regressions are possible outside tested scenes.

Download and test

Download PinyonShift-Launcher.zip from this prerelease. The Windows launcher
verifies your supported disc image and builds the pinned source locally. No game,
game assets, generated game code, or prebuilt game executable is distributed.

Use this preview for testing and report the location, camera direction, settings,
and reproduction steps for regressions. The existing stable release remains
available for users who do not want this experimental renderer checkpoint.
