Highlights

  • New: close Lunchpad with a four-finger spread. The inverse of the pinch-to-open gesture — while Lunchpad is on screen, spread four fingers apart to dismiss it. A spread while Lunchpad is hidden is left to macOS and does not interfere with Show Desktop.

It is recognized through the same reserved trackpad gesture path as the opening pinch. Existing pinch-to-open, Show Desktop restoration, Escape, the global hot key, and click-to-dismiss are unchanged.

Install

Lunchpad is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. On first launch, macOS may block it or require manual approval:

  1. Download Lunchpad-0.1.1-beta.4-macos-arm64.dmg.
  2. Drag Lunchpad into Applications.
  3. If macOS blocks opening it: right-click (or Control-click) Lunchpad in Applications → Open → confirm, or allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Verify the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.

Compatibility

  • macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later.
  • Apple Silicon (arm64) only.

This is a beta prerelease for the upcoming 0.1.1 release — feedback welcome.
