Lunchpad 0.1.2
Highlights
Lunchpad 0.1.2 adds pointer-aware presentation, full keyboard navigation, and bundle-name search to the launcher.
- New: open on the screen with your pointer. A four-finger pinch now presents Lunchpad on whichever connected display the pointer is on, instead of always the main screen. Switching Spaces while Lunchpad is open closes it.
- New: keyboard navigation and Return activation. Arrow keys move a visible highlight through the 7×5 grid, wrapping within the page. Return or keypad Enter launches the highlighted app, enters a highlighted folder, or - during search - launches the first or active result. The search field keeps its normal caret behavior until navigation begins.
- New: search by bundle name. Search now matches both the localized display name and the nonlocalized
CFBundleDisplayName/CFBundleNamefrom the app bundle. A system displaying "计算器" can now be found by typing "Calculator". Each app still appears once under its localized name. - Fixed: Lunchpad restores correctly after Show Desktop dismisses windows.
Lunchpad 0.1.1
Highlights
Lunchpad 0.1.1 is the first stable release since 0.1.0, collecting the settings window, localization, page memory, and the new dismissal gesture.
- New: close Lunchpad with a four-finger spread. The inverse of pinch-to-open — while Lunchpad is on screen, spread four fingers apart to dismiss it. Pinch-to-open, Show Desktop restoration, Escape, the global hot key, and click-to-dismiss are unchanged.
- New: Settings window and localization. Configure the interface language (Follow System, English, Simplified Chinese), the global hot key, launch-at-login, and the four-finger pinch toggle. The interface is now localized; application names continue to follow macOS bundle localization.
- New: page memory. Lunchpad remembers the last root-level page you viewed and restores it on the next open within a 30-second window. Folder and search pages stay transient.
- Fixed: Show Desktop gesture restoration.

Highlights
- New: close Lunchpad with a four-finger spread. The inverse of the pinch-to-open gesture — while Lunchpad is on screen, spread four fingers apart to dismiss it. A spread while Lunchpad is hidden is left to macOS and does not interfere with Show Desktop.
It is recognized through the same reserved trackpad gesture path as the opening pinch. Existing pinch-to-open, Show Desktop restoration, Escape, the global hot key, and click-to-dismiss are unchanged.

What's new
- Remembered page position. Lunchpad now remembers the root page you were on and restores it when you reopen within 30 seconds. Open it, page to the second page, close, and reopen a few seconds later — you'll land back on page 2 instead of the first page. After 30 seconds it resets to the first page. Folder and search-result pages are not persisted.
This continues the 0.1.1 beta series (this is 0.1.1-beta.3).
Install

- On first launch, macOS may block it because this build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. Right-click the app → Open, then confirm in the dialog.

Known limitations
- The remembered-page feature is part of this beta specifically to gather feedback; the manual smoke tests for a few edge cases (closing inside a single-page folder, closing from search results) are still being verified. Please report issues at https://github.com/arichyx/lunchpad/issues.
- Ad-hoc signature: Gatekeeper is not bypassed; first launch requires manual approval.

This prerelease adds a native Settings experience and live interface localization.
Highlights
- Open Settings from the menu bar or with Command-Comma.
- Switch the Lunchpad interface between English and Chinese immediately. Application names continue to use each app bundle's localized display name.
- Sort applications by name, creation time, or modification time.
- Record, replace, or clear the global activation shortcut, with conflict detection before the new shortcut is saved.
- Control Launch at Login and four-finger pinch activation from Settings.
- Reopening Settings now creates the window on the currently active Space.

This build is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized with an Apple Developer ID. macOS may block the first launch. If it does, open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway for Lunchpad.

This beta release fixes the interaction between Lunchpad's four-finger pinch gesture and macOS Show Desktop.

Known limitations
- External Magic Trackpads may use report formats that are not handled yet.
- Keyboard navigation and drag-to-create folder editing are not implemented yet.
- A conflicting macOS four-finger system gesture may need to be changed or disabled.
