GridPilot 1.0 preview 2
Pre-releaseWindows 11 x64 preview from integrated main commit a8059b5230ad3c2d8097c8ec9c47013c8c3043cf (PR35 and PR50).
Download GridPilot-win-x64.zip, extract the entire archive, and run GridPilot.exe. Keep the complete extracted folder together. The .NET runtime is included; no separate runtime installation is needed. The existing optional per-user installation scripts are included.
This preview adds Workspace Scenes, Elastic dividers in Focus and Auto Arrange, Reference Rail, Fit into free space, and desktop Draw placement with configurable snapping, Ctrl free-space restriction and Shift corner editing. Smoked Glass, visual shortcuts, saved layouts, partial workspace, physical-pixel placement and verified Undo remain available.
Ctrl drawing checks the actual final visible frame against strict live occupancy. A frame extending one pixel into a neighbor is refused and rolled back. Integration regressions cover settings migration, preserving earlier Undo when occupancy cannot be read, and scene-to-drawing target-only Undo.
Validation: exact-main CI passed build, core tests and portable packaging. The local package was built from that same commit; all 494 extracted files matched the publish folder by SHA-256. The extracted application remained running for five seconds in background mode, loaded its bundled runtime, opened no unexpected main window, and was stopped after the check. User settings were unchanged. SHA256SUMS.txt contains the ZIP checksum.
The combined core suite passed 6,175 assertions. Earlier focused native integration and Reference Rail runs passed 6,185 and 6,207 assertions respectively. Complete Draw and corrected full native/WPF validation were not completed. The owner explicitly requested merging without waiting for those tests, and that validation gate was waived. Startup and packaging checks do not establish complete feature behavior.
Earlier native checks used one 1920 x 1080 display at 100%. Physical shortcut/cursor gestures, mixed-DPI/multiple displays, 8K at 100%, high contrast/accessibility tooling, Remote Desktop/protected content and representative production applications remain manual coverage. Fixtures injected no desktop input.
