- Download Tracel (e.g. from Modrinth)
- Drop it into your
/pluginsfolder - Start the server
- Join as an operator. The setup wizard opens on its own
tracel_setup_wizard.mov
If you're not in the mood for a wizard, you can skip it. Everything it sets can be changed later in config.toml.
The setup wizard offers to migrate your CoreProtect history (see the video above). Tracel only reads the CoreProtect database and never modifies it. You can also migrate later: /tracel data migrate coreprotect.
Read more about migration.
Warning
The two plugins store history in fundamentally different ways, so migrated records are read-only. Nothing is dropped or trimmed: the whole history is imported and stays available for lookup.
- Platform: Paper, Purpur, Folia, and compatible forks. Folia is fully supported
- Minecraft: tested on 26.1, 26.2, and 26.3. Patch releases are covered automatically. Anything older than 26.1 is not supported, and Tracel will refuse to run on it
- Disk: an SSD and a few free GB. Tracel watches the disk for you (see status)
Note
If a new minor version comes out before Tracel has caught up, the plugin still starts and records everything it understands. New or changed events may not be recorded correctly until support is added.
