Changes

  • Added Check for Updates to the Omil app menu.
  • Added a sidebar notice showing the available version and an Update Now action. Download and install updates without opening Settings.
  • The menu-bar panel shows the available version when an update is found.
  • Update controls now follow Sparkle's live state rather than staying disabled after initialization.
  • The updater starts at launch and checks availability quietly, respecting the automatic-check preference.
  • Local Mac builds load the configured updater public key from .env.

Validation

The Mac app builds successfully. Nine selected History and updater tests passed.

Mac installation

Download Omil-0.1.4-5-macos-arm64.dmg, open it, and drag Omil.app onto Applications. Quit an existing Omil installation before replacing it. Eject the disk image, then open Omil from Applications. Complete the first-launch permissions setup. Existing installs update through the signed GitHub Sparkle feed. Requires Apple silicon and macOS 14+.
