- Refresh the sidebar update notice without opening settings. Automatic checks respect the user's preference and wait while Sparkle is busy.
- Remove the ellipsis from Update Now, add a download icon, and match the update notice to Omil's shared button styling and sidebar colors.

- Transcript previews and cached word counts reduce work while opening and scrolling History.
- Search runs in the background across all retained transcripts, including unloaded pages.
- History keeps the latest 200 transcripts. Copying, expanding, and viewing a transcript retain its full text.
- Unchanged history rows skip redraws when other app state updates.
Validation
The Mac app builds successfully. Six history tests passed, covering pagination, search, previews, refreshes, and cancellation.
