Changes

  • Check quietly for Mac updates about every five minutes, with a fresh random offset of up to 30 seconds in either direction.
  • Refresh the sidebar update notice without opening settings. Automatic checks respect the user's preference and wait while Sparkle is busy.
  • Remove the ellipsis from Update Now, add a download icon, and match the update notice to Omil's shared button styling and sidebar colors.

Validation

  • All five updater tests passed, including schedule deadlines, random interval bounds, and sidebar availability callbacks.
  • Release workflow checks passed.

Mac installation

Download Omil-0.1.6-7-macos-arm64.dmg, open it, and drag Omil.app onto Applications. Quit an existing Omil installation before replacing it. Eject the disk image, then open Omil from Applications. Complete the first-launch permissions setup. Existing installs update through the signed GitHub Sparkle feed. Requires Apple silicon and macOS 14+.
