This maintenance release publishes the runtime compatibility changes merged after 1.3.0.

Compatibility and reliability

• Updated zotero-plugin-toolkit from the 5.1 beta series to stable 5.1.4.
• Replaced the removed toolkit menu API with a native Tools-menu registration that remains compatible with Zotero 7, 8, and 9.
• Added explicit menu cleanup during window unload and plugin shutdown.
• Removed the unused scaffold examples module that depended on retired toolkit APIs.

Development toolchain

• Updated the Zotero ESLint configuration, Chai, Mocha, Prettier, the plugin scaffold, Zotero types, Node types, and ESLint 10.
• Kept TypeScript on the supported 5.9 line; TypeScript 7 remains incompatible with the current TypeScript ESLint parser stack.

Verification

• Pull-request and post-merge CI passed lint, build, test, and GitGuardian checks.
• 8/8 integration tests passed in a temporary Zotero profile.
• The published XPI reports version 1.3.1 and compatibility with Zotero 7–9.

• Switch between personal and group libraries while respecting editing permissions.

• Replaced brittle initialization and database assumptions with a typed service layer.
