StandTerm Desktop 0.5.4-dev bundles Core 2.15.0-dev for Windows x64 and macOS Apple Silicon. Both installers were built from the same complete source commit. This is a development evaluation pre-release; the separate Core 2.15.0 source release has a different version identity.

Changes

  • Open device Telnet consoles without an OS Telnet client, with Telnet option negotiation and UTF-8, Big5 or Latin-1 display. Telnet traffic is plaintext.
  • Preserve the selected first-hop Windows network source in browser SSH profiles, history and settings import/export. On macOS and other environments without the WSL Windows helper, the control stays hidden and connections use Core networking while retaining the saved preference.

Validation and limits

  • Both installers and SHA256SUMS were checked locally. The Windows package contains 94 Core files matching the build-source commit. The Mac build evidence matches 140 source inputs; its DMG and staged app matched byte for byte, and the app passed strict ad-hoc signature verification.
  • Core headless, Telnet browser and WSL-to-Windows TCP helper checks passed. Mac validation passed 177 Desktop unit tests, native setup and runtime reuse, and focused capture save-failure retention, cancel and retry checks in English and Traditional Chinese.
  • Mac full packaged capture smoke did not pass: two attempts timed out restoring terminal focus; one stopped recording after a hide event. The focused save-failure checks do not qualify the full recording flow. Windows installed-app acceptance was not performed for this candidate.
  • The shared window-state code is unchanged from the prior Mac candidate, which showed cumulative position/size drift after repeated reopen cycles. A short zero-drift probe does not establish that the issue is fixed.
  • Windows is unsigned. Mac is ad-hoc signed without Developer ID or notarization; Gatekeeper first-launch acceptance was not tested. Real device Telnet, installed upgrades and Intel/Rosetta were not tested.

Verify the downloaded installer with the attached SHA256SUMS. Quit an existing Desktop instance before manually replacing it. These packages are evaluation builds, not a fully qualified native release.
