Commander 0.1.0 alpha 4.1

This alpha expands Commander Hub with notification actions, clearer feedback, improved deduplication, and consistent keyboard-first navigation.

Play Protect notice: Commander is distributed directly through GitHub rather than Google Play. Play Protect may therefore describe the app as unknown or block installation. Commander also offers optional sensitive Android features such as Accessibility, notification access, contacts, SMS, and file access. Download only from this release, verify the attached SHA-256 checksum, and do not disable Play Protect globally. More information is available in the setup guide.

New in this build

  • Added a unified Hub actions menu with Open, Reply, Dismiss, app-provided notification actions, and notification ignore controls.
  • Added keyboard access to Hub actions with P, arrow-key navigation, Enter or O to activate, and U to return to the Hub list.
  • Added destructive-action confirmation for actions such as Delete.
  • Added selected-action glow feedback and Commander success or error states for notification actions.
  • Added Hub navigation, launch, and confirmation sounds using the existing Commander sound and volume settings.

Fixes and improvements

  • Fixed long Hub action lists so every option remains visible and keyboard navigation scrolls correctly on smaller displays.
  • Improved notification opening so Back can return to Hub where Android permits normal caller navigation.
  • Added conservative deduplication for equivalent group headers, message rows, and missed-call notifications.
  • Suppressed short-lived action receipts such as "message archived" after Commander has already shown the result.
  • Improved Todoist reminder titles so Hub displays the task name when Todoist supplies it.
  • Improved plain-text Tasker aliases so exact tasks are ranked alongside apps and execute immediately when selected.
  • Normalised Hub action labels for consistent capitalization.

Notes

  • Hub only exposes actions supplied by the originating Android notification. Available actions vary by app and notification type.
  • Matching action receipts are hidden only inside Commander Hub. Unrelated notifications from the same app are preserved.
