A maintenance release that moves My Notebook onto a current, supported foundation. Your notes, screenshots and settings carry across untouched.

What's new

  • Supported for years ahead. My Notebook now runs on .NET 10 (supported until November 2028) and Windows App SDK 2.5.1. The previous .NET 8 reaches end of support on 10 November 2026, and Windows App SDK 1.6 is already out of support.
  • Safer Word export. The libraries behind Export to Word are updated to fix two known security issues, one in the HTML parser (GHSA-pgww-w46g-26qg) and one in the .docx packaging library (CVE-2024-43483, CVE-2024-43484). Exported documents are identical to before (checked on 48 real notes).
  • Uninstalling always keeps your notes. If you first installed My Notebook 1.7.1 or earlier, its uninstaller could still delete your notes folder, even after later updates. Installing 2.6.0 removes that step.
  • Clean upgrades. The installer removes a leftover file from older versions, so the app always uses its current screens.

No file-format change. Install over your current copy and everything carries across.
