Session 21 - 17th Aug 2025 In-game date: Tuesday 27th November 1934 - breakfast time

Mikhail (secretly) chickens out and sends Sergei to the jungle Arrive to Merida and meet Robert at the hotel at 4pm. Sergei writes a message (translated by Robert) sends a telegram to ask for a meeting with Francisco de la Vega. Francisco de la Vega invites the group for dinner the following dinner (28th Nov) - a mansion towards the north within the city. The group gets measured that evening, and will receive new clothes in the morning.

High percentage of wealthy people, but still large amounts of local population - they are pointed out to certain neighborhoods where they tend to leave. Many of the Mayans work in the farms, where they are generally well treated.

De la Vega seems to accept this. Until Sergei mentions Chichen Xoxul and Gol-Goroth. This completely disarms de la Vega and opens up. He is part of a group charged with protecting Chichen Xoxul until the Xoxul return to reclaim it. Dominguez wanted to find Chichen Xoxul and De la Vega will not allow him to come back and expose it to the world. After looking at the evidence of groups outside Yucatan worshiping Gol-Goroth, he claims that it cannot be Gol-Goroth who they worship, as those are not practices associated with Gol-Goroth at all in the legends. Gol-Goroth was more violent nothing to do with orgiastic rites. He help the Xoxul destroy the Mayans and steal from them a pyramid from the 15th century into the 12th century. De la Vega will organise a group to support the investigators hunting Dominguez in Chichen Xoxul (if they made it that far). Chichen Xoxul can be dangerous so he will have another group outside the ruins waiting for them (will not enter the ruins) if they run into trouble. Sergei sends telegrams to Janet and to Mikhael
