v0.15.2-fork.7
Features
- The full-screen
/agentsview is the one agent inspector (#40, #34). Enter on an agent in the Ctrl+T list, Left Arrow on an empty composer, or/agentsopens it; it shows the selected agent's model, usage, activity, recent tools and prompt beside or below the list, reads saved transcripts with their tool calls, and stops a running agent, which shows stopping until the session reports it stopped. It replaces the Agents settings tab, and the shelf hint names the keys.
v0.15.2-fork.6
Features
- One semantic palette after Apple's Human Interface Guidelines replaces named ANSI colors, which terminal themes remap. Every text color reaches 4.5:1 contrast against the terminal background and the app's own fills, and tests enforce it.
- The palette follows the terminal's light or dark appearance.
CLAUDE_RS_APPEARANCE=light|darkoverrides it; otherwise the background the terminal reports decides, then Claude Code's ownlight/darktheme. - MCP status badges are tinted capsules in Apple's meanings (green connected, yellow needs auth, blue pending, gray disabled, red failed). Zero counts stay neutral, and scope and transport are quiet text.
- The welcome crab is redrawn as block-element pixel art. It looks around and scuttles while connecting, and snaps its claws once when it connects.
- Code blocks and Read output use the light syntax themes in a light terminal.
Dependencies
- Agent SDK 0.3.300, Rust toolchain 1.98, and refreshed Cargo and npm lockfiles.
v0.15.2-fork.5
Features
- Responsive footer groups session identity, location, context and rate windows without repeating default states.
- A bounded agent shelf shows each running agent's model, current activity, usage and elapsed time.
- Ctrl+T groups plan steps, agents and other tasks; Enter opens the selected agent's inspector with model choice, recent tools, prompt and saved messages.
Fixes
- Preserve resolved child models and usage across out-of-order background inventory and completion events.
- Feed status-line commands the resolved human model name instead of a catalog option label.
- Keep agent selection and message content associated while live inventory changes.
v0.15.2-fork.4
Features
- The welcome crab scuttles while the session connects and waves once when it connects, then rests; nothing animates at idle and
prefersReducedMotionkeeps it still.
Fixes
- Slash-command suggestions rank an exact name first, then name prefixes, then prefixes of a name's segments, then other matches, so
/resshows/resumefirst. - The trust prompt shows the directory being trusted (the stored project key), keeping the end of a long path visible on short screens.
/exportnames default filesexport-<session-id>-<YYYYMMDDTHHMMSSZ>.mdand suffixes collisions-2,-3; it never overwrites a file.- Starting without a terminal exits 25 with one line instead of writing escape sequences and a runtime log; piped stdin still works when
/dev/ttyis available. --dirand--bridge-scriptare checked before startup.- Session flags apply to interactive launches only (the root command and
resume); errors name the flag and the subcommand. - A one-word prompt that is a one-slip typo of a command (
claude-rs doctr) is refused with a suggestion;claude-rs -- doctrsends it. - Shell completions no longer offer hidden subcommands; help shows two usage lines, a Diagnostics Options heading, and documents exit status and environment variables.
Breaking
--log-appendnow requires--log-file(it used to append to a legacy log with no retention).
Upstream
- Merges upstream main at a187e1c: zip 9, the CONTRIBUTING scope-agreement section, the merged srothgan#444, and dependency updates.
v0.15.2-fork.3
Features
- Launch with named or forked sessions, additional directories, settings and MCP configuration, and system-prompt overrides.
- Reload skills and output styles, export saved conversations without overwriting files, and inspect working-tree changes with
/diff. - Browse and stop current-session agents, search retained transcript text, tag or delete saved sessions, and resume by exact title with explicit ambiguity handling.
- Inspect sanitized hook progress, duration, and startup timing in Status.
- Edit drafts in an external editor, insert multiline input, open rewind and task views, and inspect retained transcript details with remappable shortcuts.
- Configure composer styling and see session/context information plus a bounded user-configured status line. Session accents remain a fork-only presentation feature.
Fixes
- Keep the composer usable after failed resume or session-list requests, preserve cached picker entries, and refresh sessions without blocking unrelated controls.
- Preserve Unicode session titles, use listed names while live metadata is pending, and clear stale names after an acknowledged rename reset.
- Preserve fenced shebangs and comments; improve Markdown hierarchy, nested lists, tables, code wrapping, Read line numbers, and safe ANSI tool styling.
- Retain final stopped-agent status and show each Bash result only once in the detail view.
- Start skill and output-style reload controls together and bound stalled acknowledgments so the composer recovers.
- Validate launch configuration before mutating a resumed session title.
Verification tooling
- Add renderer comparisons and isolated live parity scenarios with explicit failures, gaps, and skips.
- Run complete bridge contract tests on Ubuntu and Windows with independent SDK fixtures.
v0.15.2-fork.2
This fork release is upstream 0.15.2 (main at 26f9b12) plus two pull requests raised upstream, and nothing else. The only fork change is the release workflow, which publishes GitHub releases without npm.
Fixes
- Local command replies (srothgan#444):
/rename,/color,/usageand other commands Claude Code runs locally show their reply under the command.
Features
- Live session name (srothgan#445): the Status tab shows the session name that the Agent SDK's session API reports, updated after each turn, a
/clear, a conversation reset and a Status-tab rename.
Features
- Background automatic updates (srothgan#437, @srothgan): Install automatic updates in the background after exit, and show a warning at startup when the last one failed.
v0.15.2-fork.1
Features
- Background automatic updates (srothgan#437, @srothgan): Install automatic updates in the background after exit, and show a warning at startup when the last one failed.
- Agent SDK 0.3.296 (Claude Code 2.1.296): the two new startup failure reasons,
org_config_required_unavailableandorg_config_refused, get their own guidance.
Fixes
- Session names from the session API: the name is Claude Code's own session title, read with the SDK's
getSessionInfoafter a connect, a resume,/clearand each turn, and sent only when it changed. It no longer comes from undeclared stream messages or raw transcript records. The API falls back to Claude Code's generated title, so an unnamed session shows that title after its first turn. A resume no longer passes--nameto Claude Code, soclaude agentslists a resumed session under its folder until it is renamed. - Local command replies: a complete top-level reply whose response never streamed is shown once, keyed on the API response ID rather than on undeclared fields. This also shows replies from Claude Code's non-streaming fallback.
- Title control characters: stripped once, where the title enters the app, including C1 controls that end a terminal title on some terminals.
Removed
- Session colour: the coloured composer rule, the name badge and
/colorvalue completion./colorstill runs in Claude Code and its reply shows. - Agent view: the Left-arrow hand-over to Claude Code's
claude agents, the footer's agent counts, the reader of Claude Code's job files and the bridge's own process group. These depended on Claude Code's private files and screens. - Welcome mascot: the upstream welcome crab is back, per the Agent SDK branding guidelines.
Upstream sync
- Upstream 0.15.2 merged: the fork's own Ctrl+V and EAGAIN fixes give way to upstream's versions (srothgan#432, srothgan#434), and Wayland clipboard support (srothgan#435) and background automatic updates (srothgan#437) come in.
v0.15.1-fork.2
Features
- Welcome mascot: draw the stock Claude Code mascot with its body and eye colours, while preserving narrow-terminal layout.
- Session name and colour:
/renameand/colornow show their reply, and a named or coloured session shows a rule above the composer with the name right-aligned, drawn in the session colour with the name as a badge, as Claude Code does. The terminal tab title and the Status tab show the name, and resuming a session restores both. - /color values: Tab after
/colorcompletes its colour values. - Agent view:
Lefton an empty prompt opens Claude Code's agent view (claude agents) through the terminal hand-over/loginuses, and returns to claude-rs when it exits (Esc, orCtrl+Ctwice). The session keeps running meanwhile; repeated presses open one view, and a Ctrl+C while the view starts closes only the view. The bridge now runs in its own process group so that Ctrl+C never reaches the session. The key is the rebindableapp.open_agents_or_move_leftaction and honours Claude Code'sleftArrowOpensAgentssetting. - Agent status in the footer: while the input is empty, the footer shows Claude Code's background sessions after the mode badges, as
← N agents · K awaiting input · W working, read every 10 seconds and right after the agent view closes from Claude Code's job files, with the same countsclaude agents --jsongives; the CLI is a once-a-minute fallback for an unknown file layout. It appears only when the key would open the view, and names the key if the action is rebound.
Fixes
- Bridge event writes: retry partial writes and EAGAIN so large command lists and resumed histories do not terminate the session.
- Terminal hand-over cleanup: preserve signal handling across agent-view transitions, including Ctrl+C during startup, Ctrl+Q, terminal close and suspend/resume.
- Local command output: The reply of every command Claude Code runs locally (
/rename,/color,/usage, ...) appears in chat instead of being dropped. - Resumed local commands: Resumed history shows a local command as its command line with its output under it, instead of the raw
<command-name>record. - Status tab rename: Renaming or generating a name from the Status tab goes through Claude Code's
/rename, soclaude agentsand the transcript agree with the app. An empty name is refused instead of clearing the name.
Verification
- Add the stock-versus-fork parity suite, launcher coverage and the measured parity/performance report in
docs/src/parity.md. The report records remaining gaps and the limits of the measurements.
v0.15.1-fork.1
A build of 0.15.1 from the ayush5harma fork, carrying one fix that is not yet released upstream (srothgan#430).
Fixes
- Clipboard images on macOS and Linux (srothgan#430): Ctrl+V now attaches a clipboard image on the key press outside Windows, where terminals never report the key release the handler waited for.
