Features

  • One semantic palette after Apple's Human Interface Guidelines replaces named ANSI colors, which terminal themes remap. Every text color reaches 4.5:1 contrast against the terminal background and the app's own fills, and tests enforce it.
  • The palette follows the terminal's light or dark appearance. CLAUDE_RS_APPEARANCE=light|dark overrides it; otherwise the background the terminal reports decides, then Claude Code's own light/dark theme.
  • MCP status badges are tinted capsules in Apple's meanings (green connected, yellow needs auth, blue pending, gray disabled, red failed). Zero counts stay neutral, and scope and transport are quiet text.
  • The welcome crab is redrawn as block-element pixel art. It looks around and scuttles while connecting, and snaps its claws once when it connects.
  • Code blocks and Read output use the light syntax themes in a light terminal.
