hi, I'm working on an (ultimately large) quest series, and I have a couple of queries regarding the SQL Standards published here:
https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/sql-standards
currently my sql file is formatted like so:
each set of queries grouped by the quest and then bulk inserts for the ender/starter. This makes logical sense to me. However, strictly applying the above mentioned standards, you want it reformatted to
using bulk inserts and grouped by table. While I understand the idea of reducing queries, this in my opinion is less readable/maintainable for the poor $R DBA/sysadmin that gets given this quest. (the rewards are not that great either) Which would be the preferred formatting in this case?
Secondly, the above mentioned standards mention that it is preferable to add/remove flags vs overwriting them. Is this still the case when completely new records are being added, or is the integer representation acceptable/preferred in this case?
