Volery 1.3.0

The list of downloadable on-device models is now fetched from our server instead of being compiled into the app, so a new model can be listed without shipping a release. The built-in list stays in the APK as the offline floor - if the fetch, the parse or the schema version fails, the app falls back to it and is never left with nothing. Each entry now says whether it comes from our own mirror or from HuggingFace, and flags any model whose checksum is not published. The automatic first-run pick is still restricted to mirrored, sha256-verified models, which is the constraint ADR VOL-008 exists to hold.

The welcome tour introduced a Dove lane to people whose build does not have one. It listed the three lanes by hand while the app's real lane list has been gated on the build all along, so the public edition described itself wrongly to every new user. The tour now renders the actual lane list, and Settings no longer offers a colour and an avatar for a lane that is not installed. Also: the in-app "What's new" card is working again - it is gated on an exact version match and had been left pointing at 0.77.1, so it silently showed nothing for fifteen releases. Owner build is unchanged in behaviour; it still has all three lanes.

Lighter on-device models no longer misfire on image turns. Asking a small model to translate a screenshot could set a timer instead, because the tool-picking step was never told an image was attached. It is told now, no-tool leads the options, and a light model is not offered actions like alarms or messages while it is choosing blind. Settings also says how many tools your loaded model actually drives, instead of one number for every model.

Guides have their own section now. Setup guide, Replay welcome tour and Help & handbook were buried inside the App updates card as three mismatched buttons, one of which wrapped mid-word. They are now plain rows under Guides & help - and they finally appear in the public build, where all three used to be invisible.

A proper first run. Finishing the welcome tour now drops you into chat and runs the quick tour of the chat straight after, instead of ending at a blank screen. Skipping still skips everything.

The welcome tour highlights the right things again - every spotlight was sitting one row below its target. Start chatting at the end of the Setup guide now opens the chat instead of returning to Settings.

Volery 1.0.9

Start chatting now opens the chat. Replaying the welcome tour from Settings used to drop you back in Settings when you tapped it. Also carries the collapsed sections and the split Cloud lane from 1.0.8.

Volery 1.0.8

Every section in Settings now starts collapsed, so each tab opens as a short scannable list instead of a wall. The Cloud lane was one long uncollapsible card holding profile, provider, connection, tuning and budget together - it is now Profile, Provider and Connection as separate sections, with the Advanced fold still inside Connection. Status cards (This device, Preview) are unchanged.

Settings rework. Four tabs instead of five - Assistant, Models, Tools, App. Local and Cloud are not merged: they are two boxes under the tab row on Models, each opening its own full page with everything it had before. The Got it popups are gone - help now sits under each section heading with a Learn more link. Tool reliability data added but not yet shown in the UI.

Headers no longer collide with the status bar. Bumping to Android 16 in 1.0.4 silently removed the app's edge-to-edge opt-out, so Notes and chat drew behind the clock; every screen now lays out correctly around the status bar, navigation bar, cutout and keyboard. Also retires the last of the old internal names - a few screens still said Scout and Sage instead of Local and Cloud, and one Cloud message pointed at a Settings tab that no longer exists.
