BuzzCast v1.1

Bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements based on real-game testing.

🐛 Fixes

  • Players 6 & 7 now work. Their buttons were mapped to the numpad, which was unreliable through the old keyboard layer. They now use the top-row number keys (1–0).
  • Fixed player 8 key collision. Player 8's blue button was F, which clashed with player 2's green. Player 8 is now M / - / , / . / Backspace.
  • No more input lag or dropped presses. The keyboard layer was rebuilt on the Win32 keybd_event API (scancode-based, layout-aware, non-blocking), replacing the old SendKeys approach that stalled under rapid multi-player input.

✨ New

  • Live latency indicator — each player's ping is shown on the controller (next to the connection dot) and on the host screen.
  • Robust auto-reconnect — clients now reconnect with exponential backoff and automatically re-join their slot if WiFi drops.
  • Visual buzzer feedback — the buzzer flashes on press.
  • Host page — added a GitHub link in the footer and a "PCSX2 Instructions" button.

🧹 Internal

  • PORT is now configurable via environment variable.
  • Updated keymap docs in README.md and CLAUDE.md.
