Game haptics for ButtKicker and other bass shakers - by baddo & Claude

What's new in 1.0.1

  • One-click updates. OpenShaker now checks GitHub once a day for a newer version - quietly, with no
pop-ups. When there is one, the tray icon gets a small !, the tray menu shows Update to X.Y.Z, and
the window shows a bar with Update now, What's new and Skip this version. Update now
downloads the new installer from this page, checks its size and SHA-256, installs it without an
administrator prompt and starts OpenShaker again. Your settings, Start with Windows choice and
shortcuts stay as they are. Turn the check off under Advanced... > Check for updates.
  • A tidier window. It no longer opens about 1,480 px wide: long status lines wrap, and the game
sources are listed one per line.

Updating from 1.0.0: 1.0.0 has no updater yet, so install this version once by hand (below) - your
settings are kept.

Note (added after 1.0.2): 1.0.1 can't update itself to 1.0.2 or later. Download the latest installer once from the latest release; from 1.0.2 on, updates are one click.

Install

  1. Download OpenShaker-Setup-1.0.1.exe below.
  2. Double-click it. It isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC": click
    More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Click Next - the only screen. OpenShaker installs and starts by itself.

Everything else - games, effects, settings, troubleshooting - is in the
OpenShaker guide.
