This release represents a major step forward from legacy code to a modern, MVVM based architecture of the project.
Most of the changes happened "under the covers" rather than on the surface.

Enhancements

  • The application now fully supports live configuration changes. You can rotate your screen, change to the night mode, and the playback is not interrupted. This is the greatest benefit of the new MVVM based architecture.
  • A new menu item named "Exit" allows you to completely close the app. This is not typical for an android app, yet CAS2Audio is not a typical Android app anyway.
  • The .apk file is now "minified", so it only has approximately 3 MB, instead of 23 MB.
