🚀 GopherQueue v0.1.0 Initial Release

We are thrilled to announce the initial open-source release of GopherQueue v0.1.0!

GopherQueue is a high-performance, distributed background job processing library and worker engine for Go. Designed for dual-mode operation (embedded Go packages or standalone microservice daemons), GopherQueue brings atomic Redis job guarantees, native rate-limiting integration with distlimit, an expressive middleware engine, and a zero-dependency embedded web dashboard.

  • 🔄 Dual-Mode Architecture: Run as an embedded Go package directly inside your monolith/microservice or deploy as a standalone worker/dashboard daemon (cmd/gopherq-server, cmd/gopherq-dashboard).
  • 🛡️ Native distlimit Rate-Limiting Synergy: Integrated adapter with github.com/balramadan/distlimit. Rate-limited jobs are gracefully deferred to the delayed queue without consuming retry budgets.
  • ⚡ At-Least-Once Atomic Delivery (BLMOVE): Powered by Redis BLMOVE operations and crash reclaimers to guarantee zero job loss during unexpected worker crashes.
  • 🔗 HTTP-Style Middleware Pipeline: Chi-like middleware chaining (server.Use(...)) supporting structured logging (log/slog), panic recovery, and rate limiting.
  • 🖥️ Embedded Zero-Dependency Vue 3 Web Dashboard: Serves real-time Server-Sent Events (SSE) telemetry and an interactive job browser directly from the Go binary via go:embed.

Installation

go get github.com/balramadan/gopherqueue

Standalone Dashboard Execution

Launch the Web Dashboard GUI with zero setup:

go run github.com/balramadan/gopherqueue/cmd/gopherq-dashboard@latest

Open http://localhost:8080 to inspect real-time metrics, active SSE connection status, and job payloads.
