v1.0.1
de71c7b

Defaults changed. Nothing else moves: same index format, same command line, same MCP server.

Changed

  • Images, audio and video files, and what is said in them, are now indexed by default. The three boxes of Settings ▸ Indexing ("Index images", "Index audio and video files", "Also write down what is said in them") start ticked. Untick the second one if a watched folder is a music library rather than a set of documents. A box you set yourself keeps its value; a box you never touched takes the new default.
  • "Also prepare search by meaning in the background" is now off by default. Preparing search by meaning stays a deliberate choice: tick the box, or click "Prepare search by meaning…" in the sidebar.

Update: Fouine ▸ Check for updates… from 1.0.0, or open Fouine-1.0.1.dmg and drag Fouine onto Applications. Product page: https://basedpolymer.eu/fouine — guide for assistants: https://basedpolymer.eu/fouine/mcp
