TubeNow v1.1.2
A quieter desktop home for YouTube, available in Electron and Tauri builds.
What's new
- Protection counters now accumulate for the current calendar month and survive
app restarts. They reset when a new month begins in your device's local time. - Clearer counter labels show what each build measures. Totals are local to each
app profile, not combined between Electron, Tauri or different computers. - Improved Windows Tauri playback compatibility and protection reporting.
- Distinct TubeNow (Electron) and TubeNow (Tauri) install names, with independent
settings and protection totals. Existing app profiles are preserved. - Improved Windows Electron connectivity.
Counting starts after updating; past activity is not backfilled. Filter updates
remain independent of the monthly reset. Coverage varies by build and platform;
blocked requests are not a count of individual video advertisements.

DMG. Linux ZIPs contain AppImage, DEB and RPM; choose the format for your system.

If Tauri has playback problems, try Electron and
report the issue, including
the build, OS and reproduction steps without private account data. The earlier
Electron v1.1.0 release
remains available as a fallback.
YouTube changes can affect compatibility and filtering. TubeNow is independent
software, not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Native builds and installer packages were checked for all release targets.
Playback was checked on Windows. Installed macOS/Linux playback and legacy
upgrade scenarios have not been independently tested for this release.
