v0.7.0 — The Cenotaphs
Endrise v0.7.0 — The Cenotaphs
Past the void gaps, a small ruin. Polished walls, the Mourner's Relief, blooms at the base, a lantern still burning over a grave slab. Someone was here before you. It didn't end well. Take what they carried.
New
- Cenotaphs generate across the outer End (midlands, highlands, small islands — never the dragon's island). Four ruin variants: a walled vigil plot, a waygate arch, a ring of broken pillars, and a collapsed hall. No mobs. The silence is the point.
- Lost-traveler gear: every cenotaph chest holds one named piece — Marren's Pick, What Isla Carried, Beruna's Edge, nine others — worn to 30–70% durability. About 40% still hum with Soulbound, and the covenant honors the mark on any metal: a looted Soulbound iron sword comes back from death just like enderium does. (Applying Soulbound yourself still requires enderium gear; the graves are the only place the mark rides plain steel.) One traveler in twelve made it far enough to carry enderium.
- Chests also carry Void Petals (2–4), raw enderium (2–5), and a 15% chance of an Enderium Upgrade Smithing Template — the first renewable (not farmable) template source.
- Advancement: Someone Was Here.
Under the hood
- Cenotaphs use their own structure type that checks its footing before generating: no floating ruins, and
/locate endrise:cenotaphnever points at a grave the void already took. - Structure templates are authored once at the 1.21.1 data version and upgraded forward automatically, so both jars ship byte-identical ruins.

Spacing is set so each find feels like a find (34/12). If cenotaphs feel too rare or too common in your worlds, argue with us in the issues — this number is a first guess, and so are the loot rates.
Both jars: MC 26.1.2 (NeoForge 26.1.2.87) and MC 1.21.1 (NeoForge 21.1.244).
