Changes

• Store application preferences, playback sessions, playlist drafts, radio state, and UI state in the same SQLite database as the music library. Existing JSON files and OS preferences are imported when first needed and left untouched; new saves use SQLite. Keychain secrets stay in the OS keychain.
• Enable SQLite WAL and a busy timeout, and make compound playlist changes atomic across desktop, web, terminal, and mobile clients.
• Protect session checkpoints with revision checks. A stale writer reports a conflict instead of overwriting another instance's saved state.
• Serialize browser saves and retry the same checkpoint after a lost response before saving newer changes.
• Use Qt TabBar/TabButton controls with integrated close buttons. Hide playlist tabs when only one is open across Qt, web, terminal, Android, and iOS.

Desktop packages include the web frontend. Separate Linux and macOS terminal/server archives are also available. The Android APK is signed with the existing release key. The iOS IPA is unsigned and requires signing for your device.

Shared playback backend and independent sessions

• Qt, terminal, web, Android, and iOS now use the same Rust application backend for queue changes, playback decisions, selection, sorting, filtering, and playlist drafts.
• Each frontend keeps its own session by default. Session checkpoints preserve queues, drafts, selection, and playback modes, and restore with playback stopped.
• Search and random radio are isolated by session. Delayed file expansion, network replies, and audio callbacks cannot overwrite a newer session operation.
• Playlist draft tabs now support editing and saving playlists across all five frontends.

• Fix repeated subsongs in Qt random radio and keep web radio ready during refills.
• Keep large file trees responsive, apply search filters when collecting folders, and show basenames in tree tooltips.
• Separate terminal search pause/resume from cancellation.

• Ship an optimized, signed Android release APK and an unsigned iOS IPA that requires device signing.

Choose the package for your platform below. Linux and macOS also include separate terminal and headless server bundles. Homebrew and the hosted Flatpak repository are updated by the release workflow.

Older debug-signed Android installations require uninstalling before installing the release-signed APK; uninstalling removes app data. The iOS IPA requires signing for your device. Windows packages are unsigned; macOS packages are ad-hoc signed.

Verification

Shared session and frontend contract tests, Qt and terminal playback/restore smoke tests, browser session isolation and playback checks, Android JNI/Media3 runtime tests, and Swift bridge/iOS SDK checks passed before release packaging. iOS audio output has not been verified on a physical device.

What's new

• Mobile: a more compact web player with improved touch controls, plus native Android and iPhone apps in development with shared Rust decoders and local playback.
• Shared playback: more library, playlist, archive, artwork, and MIDI behavior now uses common backend code across frontends.
