🛠️ Additional Features in Tac Writer

Discover extra resources that make your writing more powerful and personalized.

📑 Heading 1 (Main Title)

When to use: For chapter titles, main themes, or division of large sections in your text.

  • Maximum prominence: usually the largest text box in the document.
  • Facilitates navigation through extensive and structured texts.
  • Helps readers quickly locate major divisions of the content.

Usage example:

Heading 1: Chapter 3 - Digital Culture

📝 Heading 2 (Subtitle/Section)

When to use: For subtitles, sections, and internal divisions of chapters.

  • Less prominent than Heading 1, but still stands out compared to body text.
  • Allows you to organize related paragraphs within the same chapter.

Usage example:

Heading 2: Social Media and Education

✒️ Epigraph

When to use: To insert a short quote, striking author's phrase, proverb, or thought that dialogues with the chapter or text.

  • Traditionally used at the beginning of book or chapters.
  • Creates a special tone, invites reflection, and contextualizes the theme.

Usage example:

"The speech always transcends the speaker; the speaker is the spoken. - Jacques Lacan"

🖼️ Add Images

When to use: To illustrate, exemplify, compare concepts, or record visual references related to the text.

  • Images make understanding complex topics easier.
  • Break the monotony of continuous text.
  • Help provide visual examples, contextualize data, and enhance argumentation.
  • Ideal for articles, educational materials, and academic work.

Usage example:

📌 Footnotes

When to use: To complement, reference, or explain data and concepts used in the dialog boxes (Introduction, Argument, Argumentative Resumption, and Conclusion).

  • Footnotes allow you to add comments, explanations, research sources, or observations without interrupting the flow of the main text.

  • They are ideal for bibliographic references, definitions of terms, or additions that are not essential to the reading but important for further study.

Exemplo de uso:

Education is a fundamental right of the citizen.¹.

1: According to Article 205 of the Brazilian Constitution, education is a right of all and a duty of the State and the family.

🔍 Word Search

When to use: To search for specific words or terms across your entire project.

  • Use the search function to quickly locate a word in your document.
  • The search highlights the word in the first dialog box where it appears.
  • Click the down arrow icon to continue searching for the same word in other dialog boxes throughout your project.
  • Essential for revisions, consistency checks, and locating specific references or terms.

How it works:

  1. Open the search function (search icon)
  2. Type the word you want to find
  3. The first occurrence will be highlighted
  4. Click the down arrow (↓) to move to the next occurrence
  5. Continue clicking to navigate through all instances of the word

Usage example:

Search for: "education"
Result: Found in Introduction → Click ↓ → Found in Argument → Click ↓ → Found in Conclusion

AI Assistent for textual review

AI Assistent has a especific prompt to review text considering ortographic, gramatical and semantic issues and improviments. To use it, you need first to set API configuration in Preferences. [insert preferences image]

You have three options: Gemini from AiStudioGoogle; Multiple options from Groq and Multiple options from Openrouter.

Copy and paste model and API key to its boxes.

How to set yourt api configuration?

Ai Google Studio:

  1. Log in/Sign up;
  2. Get API Key [insert image]
  3. Create API key [insert image]
  4. Name it and choose terminal as project [insert image]
  5. Copy API key [insert image]
  6. Dashboard/Main page choose and copy model [insert image]

Groq:

  1. Log in/Sign up;
  2. Developers menu, create API key [insert image]
  3. Create API key [insert image]
  4. Name it [insert image]
  5. Copy you API code (once this box it's closed, you won't be able to copy again); [insert image]
  6. Click on Playground to see models [insert image]
  7. Choose and copy model [insert image]

OpenRouter:

  1. Log in/Sign up;
  2. Click on profile pic, then keys; [insert image]
  3. Create API key; [insert image]
  4. Name it, then click on Create button; [insert image]
  5. Copy API code (once this box it's closed, you won't be able to copy again); [insert image]
  6. In header menu, click on Models [insert image]
  7. Search for free and then copy model your choice (if don't want to use paid models) [insert image]

After you set your API configuration, click on AI Assistent icon. [insert ai image] Now all you have to do is to upload you PDF exported file respecting characters limit (depending on API chosen) and wait. If there is any error you'll saw a message in the bottom of Tac Writer. Pay attention. [insert image]

💡 Important Tips

  • Pay attention to API billings, in openrouter, if you don't choose free models a billing will be created for you. For Groq, only groq/compound-mini is free.
  • Choose images from reliable sources and mention the source in the caption.
